Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens: |
And the Lord spak to Moyses, and seide, Lo! |
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: |

Ecce, vocavi ex nomine Beseleel filium Uri filii Hur de tribu Juda, |
Y haue clepid Beseleel bi name, the sone of Hury, sone of Hur, of the lynage of Juda; |
Behold, I have called by name Beseleel the son of Uri the son of Hur of the tribe of Juda, |

et implevi spiritu Dei, sapientia, et intelligentia et scientia in omni opere, |
and Y haue fillid hym with the spirit of God, with wisdom, and vndirstondyng, and kunnyng in al werk, |
And I have filled him with the spirit of God, with wisdom and understanding, and knowledge in all manner of work. |

ad excogitandum quidquid fabrefieri potest ex auro, et argento, et ære, |
to fynde out what euer thing may be maad suteli, of gold, and siluer, and bras, and marbil, |
To devise whatsoever may be artificially made of gold, and silver, and brass, |

marmore, et gemmis, et diversitate lignorum. |
and gemmes, and dyuersite of trees. |
Of marble, and precious stones, and variety of wood. |

Dedique ei socium Ooliab filium Achisamech de tribu Dan. Et in corde omnis eruditi posui sapientiam: ut faciant cuncta quæ præcepi tibi, |
And Y haue youe to hym a felowe, Ooliab, the sone of Achisameth, of the kynrede of Dan; and Y haue put in the herte of hem the wisdom of ech lerned man, that thei make alle thingis, whiche Y comaundide to thee; |
And I have given him for his companion Ooliab the son of Achisamech of the tribe of Dan. And I have put wisdom in the heart of every skilful man, that they may make all things which I have commanded thee, |

tabernaculum fœderis, et arcam testimonii, et propitiatorium, quod super eam est, et cuncta vasa tabernaculi, |
the tabernacle of boond of pees, and the arke of witnessyng, and the propiciatorie, ether table, which is theronne, and alle the vessels of the tabernacle; |
The tabernacle of the covenant, and the ark of the testimony, and the propitiatory that is over it, and all the vessels of the tabernacle, |

mensamque et vasa ejus, candelabrum purissimum cum vasis suis, et altaris thymiamatis, |
also the bord, and vessels therof, the clenneste candilstike with hise vessels, and the auteris of encence, |
And the table and the vessels thereof, the most pure candlestick with the vessels thereof, and the altars of incense, |

et holocausti, et omnia vasa eorum, labrum cum basi sua, |
and of brent sacrifice, and alle the vessels of hem; the greet waischyng vessel with his foundement; |
And of holocaust, and all their vessels, the laver with its foot, |

vestes sanctas in ministerio Aaron sacerdoti, et filiis ejus, ut fungantur officio suo in sacris: |
hooli clothis in seruyce to Aaron prest, and to hise sones, that thei be set in her office in hooli thingis; |
The holy vestments in the ministry for Aaron the priest, and for his sons, that they may execute their office about the sacred things: |

oleum unctionis, et thymiama aromatum in sanctuario, omnia quæ præcepi tibi, facient. |
the oile of anoyntyng, and encence of swete smellynge spiceryes in the seyntuarie; thei schulen make alle thingis whiche Y comaundide to thee. |
The oil of unction, and the incense of spices in the sanctuary, all things which I have commanded thee, shall they make. |

Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens: |
And the Lord spak to Moises, and seide, Speke thou to the sones of Israel, |
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying: |
The Sabbath ordinance. Ex.31.12-18 |

Loquere filiis Israël, et dices ad eos: Videte ut sabbatum meum custodiatis: quia signum est inter me et vos in generationibus vestris: ut sciatis quia ego Dominus, qui sanctifico vos. |
and thou schalt seie to hem, Se ye that ye kepe my sabat, for it is a signe bytwixe me and you in youre generaciouns; that ye wite, that Y am the Lord, which halewe you. |
Speak to the children of Israel, and thou shalt say to them: See that thou keep my sabbath: because it is a sign between me and you in your generations: that you may know that I am the Lord, who sanctify you. |

Custodite sabbatum meum, sanctum est enim vobis: qui polluerit illud, morte morietur; qui fecerit in eo opus, peribit anima illius de medio populi sui. |
Kepe ye my sabat, for it is hooli to you; he that defoulith it, schal die bi deeth, the soule of hym, that doith werk in the sabat, schal perische fro the myddis of his puple. |
Keep you my sabbath: for it is holy unto you: he that shall profane it, shall be put to death: he that shall do my work in it, his soul shall perish out of the midst of his people. |

Sex diebus facietis opus: in die septimo sabbatum est, requies sancta Domino; omnis qui fecerit opus in hac die, morietur. |
Sixe daies ye schulen do werk; in the seuenthe dai is sabat, hooli reste to the Lord; ech man that doith werk in this dai schal die. |
Six days shall you do work: in the seventh day is the sabbath, the rest holy to the Lord. Every one that shall do any work on this day, shall die. |

Custodiant filii Israël sabbatum, et celebrent illud in generationibus suis. Pactum est sempiternum |
The sones of Israel kepe sabat, and halewe it in her generaciouns; |
Let the children of Israel keep the sabbath, and celebrate it in their generations. It is an everlasting covenant |

17 |
inter me et filios Israël, signumque perpetuum; sex enim diebus fecit Dominus cælum et terram, et in septimo ab opere cessavit. |
it is a couenaunt euerlastinge bitwixe me and the sones of Israel, and it is a signe euerlastynge; for in sixe daies God made heuene and erthe, and in the seuenthe day he ceessid of werk. |
Between me and the children of Israel, and a perpetual sign. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, and in the seventh he ceased from work. |

Deditque Dominus Moysi, completis hujuscemodi sermonibus in monte Sinai, duas tabulas testimonii lapideas, scriptas digito Dei. |
And whanne siche wordis weren fillid, the Lord yaf to Moises, in the hil of Synay, twei stonun tablis of witnessyng, writun with the fyngur of God. |
And the Lord, when he had ended these words in mount Sinai, gave to Moses two stone tables of testimony, written with the finger of God. |
