1Addidit quoque Job, assumens parabolam suam, et dixit: Also Joob addide,
takynge his parable, and seide,
Job also added, taking up his parable,
and said:
Job. Jb.27.1-12
2Vivit Deus, qui abstulit judicium meum,
et Omnipotens, qui ad amaritudinem adduxit animam meam.
God lyueth, that hath take awey my doom,
and Almyyti God, that hath brouyt my soule to bitternesse.
As God liveth, who hath taken away my judgment,
and the Almighty, who hath brought my soul to bitterness,
 
3Quia donec superest halitus in me,
et spiritus Dei in naribus meis,
For as long as breeth is in me,
and the spirit of God is in my nose thirlis,
As long as breath remaineth in me,
and the spirit of God in my nostrils,
 
4non loquentur labia mea iniquitatem,
nec lingua mea meditabitur mendacium.
my lippis schulen not speke wickidnesse,
nether my tunge schal thenke a leesyng.
My lips shall not speak iniquity,
neither shall my tongue contrive lying.
 
5Absit a me ut justos vos esse judicem:
donec deficiam, non recedam ab innocentia mea.
Fer be it fro me, that Y deme you iust;
til Y faile, Y schal not go awei fro myn innocence.
God forbid that I should judge you to be just:
till I die I will not depart from my innocence.
 
6Justificationem meam, quam cœpi tenere, non deseram:
neque enim reprehendit me cor meum in omni vita mea.
Y schal not forsake my iustifiyng, which Y bigan to holde;
for myn herte repreueth me not in al my lijf.
My justification, which I have begun to hold, I will not forsake:
for my heart doth not reprehend me in all my life.
 
7Sit ut impius, inimicus meus,
et adversarius meus quasi iniquus.
As my wickid enemy doth;
myn aduersarie is as wickid.
Let my enemy be as the ungodly,
and my adversary as the wicked one.
 
8Quæ est enim spes hypocritæ, si avare rapiat,
et non liberet Deus animam ejus?
For what is the hope of an ypocrite, if he rauyschith gredili,
and God delyuerith not his soule?
For what is the hope of the hypocrite if through covetousness he take by violence,
and God deliver not his soul?
 
9Numquid Deus audiet clamorem ejus,
cum venerit super eum angustia?
Whether God schal here the cry of hym,
whanne angwisch schal come on hym?
Will God hear his cry,
when distress shall come upon him?
 
10aut poterit in Omnipotente delectari,
et invocare Deum omni tempore?
ether whether he may delite in Almyyti God,
and inwardli clepe God in al tyme?
Or can he delight himself in the Almighty,
and call upon God at all times?
 
11Docebo vos per manum Dei quæ Omnipotens habeat,
nec abscondam.
Y schal teche you bi the hond of God, what thingis Almyyti God hath;
and Y schal not hide.
I will teach you by the hand of God,
what the Almighty hath,
and I will not conceal it.
 
12Ecce vos omnes nostis:
et quid sine causa vana loquimini?
Lo! alle ye knowen,
and what speken ye veyn thingis with out cause?
Behold you all know it,
and why do you speak vain things without cause?
