| 16 | Those who believe it and receive baptism will find salvation; those who do not believe will be condemned. | | ὁ πιστεύσας καὶ βαπτισθεὶς σωθήσεται, ὁ δὲ ἀπιστήσας κατακριθήσεται. |

| 17 | Faith will bring with it these miracles: believers will cast out devils in my name and speak in strange tongues; | | σημεῖα δὲ τοῖς πιστεύσασιν ταῦτα παρακολουθήσει· ἐν τῷ ὀνόματί μου δαιμόνια ἐκβαλοῦσιν, γλώσσαις λαλήσουσιν καιναῖς, |

| 18 | if they handle snakes or drink any deadly poison, they will come to no harm; and the sick on whom they lay their hands will recover.'
| | καὶ ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν ὀφεις ἀροῦσιν, κἂν θανάσιμόν τι πίωσιν οὐ μὴ αὐτοὺς βλάψῃ, ἐπὶ ἀρρώστους χεῖρας ἐπιθήσουσιν καὶ καλῶς ἑξουσιν. |
