| 2 | And David perceived that Yahweh had established him king over Israel, and that his kingdom was highly exalted for the sake of his people Israel. | | וַיֵּדַע דָּוִיד כִּי־הֱכִינֹו יְהוָה לְמֶלֶךְ עַל־יִשְׂרָאֵל כִּי־נִשֵּׂאת לְמַעְלָה מַלְכוּתֹו בַּעֲבוּר עַמֹּו יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ ף |

| 3 | And David took more wives in Jerusalem, and David begot more sons and daughters. | | וַיִּקַּח דָּוִיד עֹוד נָשִׁים בִּירוּשָׁלִָם וַיֹּולֶד דָּוִיד עֹוד בָּנִים וּבָנֹות׃ |

| 4 | These are the names of the children whom he had in Jerusalem: Shammua, Shobab, Nathan, Solomon, | | וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות הַיְלוּדִים אֲשֶׁר הָיוּ־לֹו בִּירוּשָׁלִָם שַׁמּוּעַ וְשֹׁובָב נָתָן וּשְׁלֹמֹה׃ |

| 6 | Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, | | וְנֹגַהּ וְנֶפֶג וְיָפִיעַ׃ |

| 7 | Elishama, Beeliada, and Eliphelet. | | וֶאֱלִישָׁמָע וּבְעֶלְיָדָע וֶאֱלִיפָלֶט׃ |
