And the LORD said to you, "You shall be shepherd of my people Israel; you shall be their prince." | 4 | David came to the throne at the age of thirty and reigned for forty years. | | בֶּן־שְׁלֹשִׁים שָׁנָה דָּוִד בְּמָלְכֹו אַרְבָּעִים שָׁנָה מָלָךְ׃ |

| 5 | In Hebron he had ruled over Judah for seven years and a half, and for thirty-three years he reigned in Jerusalem over Israel and Judah together.
