| 1 | Brethren, if a man is overtaken in any trespass, you who are spiritual should restore him in a spirit of gentleness. | 2 | Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ. | Ἀλλήλων τὰ βάρη βαστάζετε, καὶ οὑτως ἀναπληρώσετε τὸν νόμον τοῦ Χριστοῦ. | ||
| 3 | For if anyone thinks he is something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself. | εἰ γὰρ δοκεῖ τις εἶναί τι μηδὲν ὠν, φρεναπατᾷ ἑαυτόν· | ||
| 4 | But let each one test his own work, and then his reason to boast will be in himself alone and not in his neighbour. | τὸ δὲ ἐργον ἑαυτοῦ δοκιμαζέτω ἑκαστος, καὶ τότε εἰς ἑαυτὸν μόνον τὸ καύχημα ἑξει καὶ οὐκ εἰς τὸν ἑτερον· | ||
| 5 | For each man will have to bear his own load. | ἑκαστος γὰρ τὸ ἰδιον φορτίον βαστάσει. | ||
| 6 | Let him who is taught the word share all good things with him who teaches. | Κοινωνείτω δὲ ὁ κατηχούμενος τὸν λόγον τῷ κατηχοῦντι ἐν πᾶσιν ἀγαθοῖς. | ||
| 7 | Do not be deceived; God is not mocked, for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. | Μὴ πλανᾶσθε, θεὸς οὐ μυκτηρίζεται· ὃ γὰρ ἐὰν σπείρῃ ἄνθρωπος, τοῦτο καὶ θερίσει· | ||
| 8 | For he who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption; but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life. | ὁτι ὁ σπείρων εἰς τὴν σάρκα ἑαυτοῦ ἐκ τῆς σαρκὸς θερίσει φθοράν, ὁ δὲ σπείρων εἰς τὸ Πνεῦμα ἐκ τοῦ πνεύματος θερίσει ζωὴν αἰώνιον. | ||
| 9 | And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. | τὸ δὲ καλὸν ποιοῦντες μὴ ἐγκακῶμεν, καιρῷ γὰρ ἰδίῳ θερίσομεν μὴ ἐκλυόμενοι. | ||
| 10 | So then, as we have opportunity, let us do good to all men, and especially to those who are of the household of faith. | ἀρα οὖν ὡς καιρὸν ἐχομεν, ἐργαζώμεθα τὸ ἀγαθὸν πρὸς πάντας, μάλιστα δὲ πρὸς τοὺς οἰκείους τῆς πίστεως. | ||
| 11 | See with what large letters I am writing to you with my own hand. | Final Warning and Benediction Ga.6.11-18 | Ἴδετε πηλίκοις ὑμῖν γράμμασιν ἐγραψα τῇ ἐμῇ χειρί. | |
| 12 | It is those who want to make a good showing in the flesh that would compel you to be circumcised, and only in order that they may not be persecuted for the cross of Christ. | ὁσοι θέλουσιν εὐπροσωπῆσαι ἐν σαρκί, οὗτοι ἀναγκάζουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι, μόνον ἵνα τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ Χριστοῦ μὴ διώκωνται· | ||
| 13 | For even those who receive circumcision do not themselves keep the law, but they desire to have you circumcised that they may glory in your flesh. | οὐδὲ γὰρ οἱ περιτεμνόμενοι αὐτοὶ νόμον φυλάσσουσιν, ἀλλὰ θέλουσιν ὑμᾶς περιτέμνεσθαι ἵνα ἐν τῇ ὑμετέρᾳ σαρκὶ καυχήσωνται. | ||
| 14 | But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, by which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. | ἐμοὶ δὲ μὴ γένοιτο καυχᾶσθαι εἰ μὴ ἐν τῷ σταυρῷ τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ, δῖ οὗ ἐμοὶ κόσμος ἐσταύρωται κἀγὼ κόσμῳ. | ||
| 15 | For neither circumcision counts for anything, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation. | οὐτε γὰρ περιτομή τί ἐστιν οὐτε ἀκροβυστία, ἀλλὰ καινὴ κτίσις. | ||
| 16 | Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, upon the Israel of God. | καὶ ὁσοι τῷ κανόνι τούτῳ στοιχήσουσιν, εἰρήνη ἐπ' αὐτοὺς καὶ ἐλεος, καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν Ἰσραὴλ τοῦ θεοῦ. | ||
| 17 | Henceforth let no man trouble me; for I bear on my body the marks of Jesus. | Τοῦ λοιποῦ κόπους μοι μηδεὶς παρεχέτω, ἐγὼ γὰρ τὰ στίγματα τοῦ Ἰησοῦ ἐν τῷ σώματί μου βαστάζω. | ||
| 18 | The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit, brethren. Amen. | Ἡ χάρις τοῦ κυρίου ἡμῶν Ἰησοῦ Χριστοῦ μετὰ τοῦ πνεύματος ὑμῶν, ἀδελφοί· ἀμήν. | ||
