| 1 | Καὶ ἐξεκκλησιάσθη πᾶσα συναγωγὴ υἱῶν Ισραηλ εἰς Σηλω καὶ ἔπηξαν ἐκεῖ τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου, καὶ ἡ γῆ ἐκρατήθη ὑπ' αὐτῶν. |
And all the congregation of the children of Israel were assembled at Selo, and there they pitched the tabernacle of witness; and the land was subdued by them. | | Then the whole congregation of the people of Israel assembled at Shiloh, and set up the tent of meeting there; the land lay subdued before them. | וַיִּקָּהֲלוּ כָּל־עֲדַת בְּנֵי־יִשְׂרָאֵל שִׁלֹה וַיַּשְׁכִּינוּ שָׁם אֶת־אֹהֶל מֹועֵד וְהָאָרֶץ נִכְבְּשָׁה לִפְנֵיהֶם׃ |

| 2 | καὶ κατελείφθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ, οἳ οὐκ ἐκληρονόμησαν, ἑπτὰ φυλαί. |
And the sons of Israel remained, [even] those who [had] not received their inheritance, seven tribes. | | There remained among the people of Israel seven tribes whose inheritance had not yet been apportioned. | וַיִּוָּתְרוּ בִּבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל אֲשֶׁר לֹא־חָלְקוּ אֶת־נַחֲלָתָם שִׁבְעָה שְׁבָטִים׃ |

| 3 | καὶ εἶπεν Ἰησοῦς τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ Ἕως τίνος ἐκλυθήσεσθε κληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν, ἣν ἔδωκεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν; |
And Joshua said to the sons of Israel, How long will you be slack to inherit the land, which the Lord our God has given you? | | So Joshua said to the people of Israel, "How long will you be slack to go in and take possession of the land, which the LORD, the God of your fathers, has given you? | וַיֹּאמֶר יְהֹושֻׁעַ אֶל־בְּנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל עַד־אָנָה אַתֶּם מִתְרַפִּים לָבֹוא לָרֶשֶׁת אֶת־הָאָרֶץ אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָכֶם יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵי אֲבֹותֵיכֶם׃ |

| 4 | δότε ἐξ ὑμῶν τρεῖς ἄνδρας ἐκ φυλῆς, καὶ ἀναστάντες διελθέτωσαν τὴν γῆν καὶ διαγραψάτωσαν αὐτὴν ἐναντίον μου, καθὰ δεήσει διελεῖν αὐτήν. [καὶ ἤλθοσαν πρὸς αὐτόν, |
Appoint of yourselves three men of each tribe, and let them rise up and go through the land, and let them describe it before me, as it will be proper to divide it. | | Provide three men from each tribe, and I will send them out that they may set out and go up and down the land, writing a description of it with a view to their inheritances, and then come to me. | הָבוּ לָכֶם שְׁלֹשָׁה אֲנָשִׁים לַשָּׁבֶט וְאֶשְׁלָחֵם וְיָקֻמוּ וְיִתְהַלְּכוּ בָאָרֶץ וְיִכְתְּבוּ אֹותָהּ לְפִי נַחֲלָתָם וְיָבֹאוּ אֵלָי׃ |

| 5 | καὶ διεῖλεν αὐτοῖς ἑπτὰ μερίδας.] Ιουδας στήσεται αὐτοῖς ὅριον ἀπὸ λιβός, καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ιωσηφ στήσονται αὐτοῖς ἀπὸ βορρᾶ. |
And they came to him: and he divided to them seven portions, [saying], Juda shall stand to them a border southward, and the sons of Joseph shall stand to them northward. | | They shall divide it into seven portions, Judah continuing in his territory on the south, and the house of Joseph in their territory on the north. | וְהִתְחַלְּקוּ אֹתָהּ לְשִׁבְעָה חֲלָקִים יְהוּדָה יַעֲמֹד עַל־גְּבוּלֹו מִנֶּגֶב וּבֵית יֹוסֵף יַעַמְדוּ עַל־גְּבוּלָם מִצָּפֹון׃ |

| 6 | ὑμεῖς δὲ μερίσατε τὴν γῆν ἑπτὰ μερίδας καὶ ἐνέγκατε πρός με ὧδε, καὶ ἐξοίσω ὑμῖν κλῆρον ἔναντι κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν. |
And do you divide the land into seven parts, and bring the description hither to me, and I will give you a lot before the Lord our God. | | And you shall describe the land in seven divisions and bring the description here to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD our God. | וְאַתֶּם תִּכְתְּבוּ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ שִׁבְעָה חֲלָקִים וַהֲבֵאתֶם אֵלַי הֵנָּה וְיָרִיתִי לָכֶם גֹּורָל פֹּה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵינוּ׃ |

| 7 | οὐ γάρ ἐστιν μερὶς τοῖς υἱοῖς Λευι ἐν ὑμῖν, ἱερατεία γὰρ κυρίου μερὶς αὐτοῦ· καὶ Γαδ καὶ Ρουβην καὶ τὸ ἥμισυ φυλῆς Μανασση ἐλάβοσαν τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτῶν πέραν τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἐπ' ἀνατολάς, ἣν ἔδωκεν αὐτοῖς Μωϋσῆς ὁ παῖς κυρίου. |
For the sons of Levi have no part among you; for the priesthood of the Lord [is] his portion; and Gad, and Ruben, and the half tribe of Manasse, have received their inheritance beyond Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the Lord gave to them. | | The Levites have no portion among you, for the priesthood of the LORD is their heritage; and Gad and Reuben and half the tribe of Manas'seh have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, which Moses the servant of the LORD gave them." | כִּי אֵין־חֵלֶק לַלְוִיִּם בְּקִרְבְּכֶם כִּי־כְהֻנַּת יְהוָה נַחֲלָתֹו וְגָד וּרְאוּבֵן וַחֲצִי שֵׁבֶט הַמְנַשֶּׁה לָקְחוּ נַחֲלָתָם מֵעֵבֶר לַיַּרְדֵּן מִזְרָחָה אֲשֶׁר נָתַן לָהֶם מֹשֶׁה עֶבֶד יְהוָה׃ |

| 8 | καὶ ἀναστάντες οἱ ἄνδρες ἐπορεύθησαν, καὶ ἐνετείλατο Ἰησοῦς τοῖς ἀνδράσιν τοῖς πορευομένοις χωροβατῆσαι τὴν γῆν λέγων Πορεύεσθε καὶ χωροβατήσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ παραγενήθητε πρός με, καὶ ὧδε ἐξοίσω ὑμῖν κλῆρον ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν Σηλω. |
And the men rose up and went; and Joshua charged the men who went to explore the land, saying, Go and explore the land, and come to me, and I will bring you forth a lot here before the Lord in Selo. | | So the men started on their way; and Joshua charged those who went to write the description of the land, saying, "Go up and down and write a description of the land, and come again to me; and I will cast lots for you here before the LORD in Shiloh." | וַיָּקֻמוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים וַיֵּלֵכוּ וַיְצַו יְהֹושֻׁעַ אֶת־הַהֹלְכִים לִכְתֹּב אֶת־הָאָרֶץ לֵאמֹר לְכוּ וְהִתְהַלְּכוּ בָאָרֶץ וְכִתְבוּ אֹותָהּ וְשׁוּבוּ אֵלַי וּפֹה אַשְׁלִיךְ לָכֶם גֹּורָל לִפְנֵי יְהוָה בְּשִׁלֹה׃ |

| 9 | καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν καὶ ἐχωροβάτησαν τὴν γῆν καὶ εἴδοσαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἔγραψαν αὐτὴν κατὰ πόλεις αὐτῆς ἑπτὰ μερίδας εἰς βιβλίον καὶ ἤνεγκαν πρὸς Ἰησοῦν. |
And they went, and explored the land: and they viewed it, and described it according to the cities, seven parts in a book, and brought [the book] to Joshua. | | So the men went and passed up and down in the land and set down in a book a description of it by towns in seven divisions; then they came to Joshua in the camp at Shiloh, | וַיֵּלְכוּ הָאֲנָשִׁים וַיַּעַבְרוּ בָאָרֶץ וַיִּכְתְּבוּהָ לֶעָרִים לְשִׁבְעָה חֲלָקִים עַל־סֵפֶר וַיָּבֹאוּ אֶל־יְהֹושֻׁעַ אֶל־הַמַּחֲנֶה שִׁלֹה׃ |

| 10 | καὶ ἐνέβαλεν αὐτοῖς Ἰησοῦς κλῆρον ἐν Σηλω ἔναντι κυρίου. |
And Joshua cast the lot for them in Selo before the Lord. | | and Joshua cast lots for them in Shiloh before the LORD; and there Joshua apportioned the land to the people of Israel, to each his portion. | וַיַּשְׁלֵךְ לָהֶם יְהֹושֻׁעַ גֹּורָל בְּשִׁלֹה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וַיְחַלֶּק־שָׁם יְהֹושֻׁעַ אֶת־הָאָרֶץ לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל כְּמַחְלְקֹתָם׃ ף |

| 11 | Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος φυλῆς Βενιαμιν πρῶτος κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὅρια τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν ἀνὰ μέσον Ιουδα καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ. |
And the lot of the tribe of Benjamin came forth first according to their families: and the borders of their lot came forth between the children of Juda and the children of Joseph. | | The lot of the tribe of Benjamin according to its families came up, and the territory allotted to it fell between the tribe of Judah and the tribe of Joseph. | וַיַּעַל גֹּורַל מַטֵּה בְנֵי־בִנְיָמִן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם וַיֵּצֵא גְּבוּל גֹּורָלָם בֵּין בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה וּבֵין בְּנֵי יֹוסֵף׃ |

| 12 | καὶ ἐγενήθη αὐτῶν τὰ ὅρια ἀπὸ βορρᾶ ἀπὸ τοῦ Ιορδάνου, προσαναβήσεται τὰ ὅρια κατὰ νώτου Ιεριχω ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος ἡ Μαδβαρῖτις Βαιθων, |
And their borders were northward: the borders shall go up from Jordan behind Jericho northward, and shall go up to the mountain westward, and the issue of it shall be Baethon of Mabdara. | | On the north side their boundary began at the Jordan; then the boundary goes up to the shoulder north of Jericho, then up through the hill country westward; and it ends at the wilderness of Beth-a'ven. | וַיְהִי לָהֶם הַגְּבוּל לִפְאַת צָפֹונָה מִן־הַיַּרְדֵּן וְעָלָה הַגְּבוּל אֶל־כֶּתֶף יְרִיחֹו מִצָּפֹון וְעָלָה בָהָר יָמָּה [כ= וְהָיָה] [ק= וְהָיוּ] תֹּצְאֹתָיו מִדְבַּרָה בֵּית אָוֶן׃ |

| 13 | καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν τὰ ὅρια Λουζα ἐπὶ νώτου Λουζα ἀπὸ λιβός [αὕτη ἐστὶν Βαιθηλ], καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια Μααταρωθορεχ ἐπὶ τὴν ὀρεινήν, ἥ ἐστιν πρὸς λίβα Βαιθωρων ἡ κάτω, |
And the borders will go forth thence to Luz, behind Luz, from the south of it; this is Baethel: and the borders shall go down to Maatarob Orech, to the hill country, which is southward of Baethoron the lower. | | From there the boundary passes along southward in the direction of Luz, to the shoulder of Luz (the same is Bethel), then the boundary goes down to At'aroth-ad'dar, upon the mountain that lies south of Lower Beth-hor'on. | וְעָבַר מִשָּׁם הַגְּבוּל לוּזָה אֶל־כֶּתֶף לוּזָה נֶגְבָּה הִיא בֵּית־אֵל וְיָרַד הַגְּבוּל עַטְרֹות אַדָּר עַל־הָהָר אֲשֶׁר מִנֶּגֶב לְבֵית־חֹרֹון תַּחְתֹּון׃ |

| 14 | καὶ διελεύσεται τὰ ὅρια καὶ περιελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὸ μέρος τὸ βλέπον παρὰ θάλασσαν ἀπὸ λιβὸς ἀπὸ τοῦ ὄρους ἐπὶ πρόσωπον Βαιθωρων λίβα, καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος εἰς Καριαθβααλ [αὕτη ἐστὶν Καριαθιαριν πόλις υἱῶν Ιουδα]· τοῦτό ἐστιν τὸ μέρος τὸ πρὸς θάλασσαν. |
And the borders shall pass through and proceed to the part that looks toward the sea, on the south, from the mountain in front of Baethoron southward, and its termination shall be at Cariath-Baal, this is Cariath-Jarin, a city of the children of Juda; this is the part toward the west. | | Then the boundary goes in another direction, turning on the western side southward from the mountain that lies to the south, opposite Beth-hor'on, and it ends at Kir'iath-ba'al (that is, Kir'iath-je'arim), a city belonging to the tribe of Judah. This forms the western side. | וְתָאַר הַגְּבוּל וְנָסַב לִפְאַת־יָם נֶגְבָּה מִן־הָהָר אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי בֵית־חֹרֹון נֶגְבָּה [כ= וְהָיָה] [ק= וְהָיוּ] תֹצְאֹתָיו אֶל־קִרְיַת־בַּעַל הִיא קִרְיַת יְעָרִים עִיר בְּנֵי יְהוּדָה זֹאת פְּאַת־יָם׃ |

| 15 | καὶ μέρος τὸ πρὸς λίβα ἀπὸ μέρους Καριαθβααλ, καὶ διελεύσεται ὅρια εἰς Γασιν ἐπὶ πηγὴν ὕδατος Ναφθω, |
And the south side on the part of Cariath-Baal; and the borders shall go across to Gasin, to the fountain of the water of Naphtho. | | And the southern side begins at the outskirts of Kir'iath-je'arim; and the boundary goes from there to Ephron, to the spring of the Waters of Nephto'ah; | וּפְאַת־נֶגְבָּה מִקְצֵה קִרְיַת יְעָרִים וְיָצָא הַגְּבוּל יָמָּה וְיָצָא אֶל־מַעְיַן מֵי נֶפְתֹּוחַ׃ |

| 16 | καὶ καταβήσεται τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ μέρους τοῦ ὄρους, ὅ ἐστιν κατὰ πρόσωπον νάπης Ονναμ, ὅ ἐστιν ἐκ μέρους Εμεκραφαιν ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, καὶ καταβήσεται Γαιεννα ἐπὶ νώτου Ιεβουσαι ἀπὸ λιβὸς καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ πηγὴν Ρωγηλ |
And the borders shall extend down on one side, this is in front of the forest of Sonnam, which is on the side of Emec Raphain northward, and it shall come down to Gaeenna behind Jebusai southward: it shall come down to the fountain of Rogel. | | then the boundary goes down to the border of the mountain that overlooks the valley of the son of Hinnom, which is at the north end of the valley of Reph'aim; and it then goes down the valley of Hinnom, south of the shoulder of the Jeb'usites, and downward to En-rogel; | וְיָרַד הַגְּבוּל אֶל־קְצֵה הָהָר אֲשֶׁר עַל־פְּנֵי גֵּי בֶן־הִנֹּם אֲשֶׁר בְּעֵמֶק רְפָאִים צָפֹונָה וְיָרַד גֵּי הִנֹּם אֶל־כֶּתֶף הַיְבוּסִי נֶגְבָּה וְיָרַד עֵין רֹגֵל׃ |

| 17 | καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ πηγὴν Βαιθσαμυς καὶ παρελεύσεται ἐπὶ Γαλιλωθ, ἥ ἐστιν ἀπέναντι πρὸς ἀνάβασιν Αιθαμιν, καὶ καταβήσεται ἐπὶ λίθον Βαιων υἱῶν Ρουβην |
And [the borders] shall go across to the fountain of Baethsamys: | | then it bends in a northerly direction going on to En-she'mesh, and thence goes to Geli'loth, which is opposite the ascent of Adum'mim; then it goes down to the Stone of Bohan the son of Reuben; | וְתָאַר מִצָּפֹון וְיָצָא עֵין שֶׁמֶשׁ וְיָצָא אֶל־גְּלִילֹות אֲשֶׁר־נֹכַח מַעֲלֵה אֲדֻמִּים וְיָרַד אֶבֶן בֹּהַן בֶּן־רְאוּבֵן׃ |

| 18 | καὶ διελεύσεται κατὰ νώτου Βαιθαραβα ἀπὸ βορρᾶ καὶ καταβήσεται |
and shall proceed to Galiloth, which is in front by the going up of Aethamin; and they shall come down to the stone of Baeon of the sons of Ruben; and shall pass over behind Baetharaba northward, and shall go down to the borders behind the sea northward. | | and passing on to the north of the shoulder of Beth-arabah it goes down to the Arabah; | וְעָבַר אֶל־כֶּתֶף מוּל־הָעֲרָבָה צָפֹונָה וְיָרַד הָעֲרָבָתָה׃ |

| 19 | ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ νώτου Βαιθαγλα ἀπὸ βορρᾶ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ἐπὶ λοφιὰν τῆς θαλάσσης τῶν ἁλῶν ἐπὶ βορρᾶν εἰς μέρος τοῦ Ιορδάνου ἀπὸ λιβός· ταῦτα τὰ ὅριά ἐστιν ἀπὸ λιβός. |
And the termination of the borders shall be at the creek of the salt sea northward to the side of Jordan southward: these are their souther borders. | | then the boundary passes on to the north of the shoulder of Beth-hoglah; and the boundary ends at the northern bay of the Salt Sea, at the south end of the Jordan: this is the southern border. | וְעָבַר הַגְּבוּל אֶל־כֶּתֶף בֵּית־חָגְלָה צָפֹונָה [כ= וְהָיָה] [ק= וְהָיוּ] [כ= תֹּצְאֹותָיו] [ק= תֹּצְאֹות] הַגְּבוּל אֶל־לְשֹׁון יָם־הַמֶּלַח צָפֹונָה אֶל־קְצֵה הַיַּרְדֵּן נֶגְבָּה זֶה גְּבוּל נֶגֶב׃ |

| 20 | καὶ ὁ Ιορδάνης ὁριεῖ ἀπὸ μέρους ἀνατολῶν. αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία υἱῶν Βενιαμιν, τὰ ὅρια αὐτῆς κύκλῳ κατὰ δήμους. - |
And Jordan shall be their boundary on the east: this [is] the inheritance of the children of Benjamin, these [are] their borders round about according to their families. | | The Jordan forms its boundary on the eastern side. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin, according to its families, boundary by boundary round about. | וְהַיַּרְדֵּן יִגְבֹּל־אֹתֹו לִפְאַת־קֵדְמָה זֹאת נַחֲלַת בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן לִגְבוּלֹתֶיהָ סָבִיב לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃ |

| 21 | καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ πόλεις τῶν υἱῶν Βενιαμιν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν Ιεριχω καὶ Βαιθεγλιω καὶ Αμεκασις |
And the cities of the children of Benjamin according to their families [were] Jericho, and Bethagaeo, and the Amecasis, | | Now the cities of the tribe of Benjamin according to their families were Jericho, Beth-hoglah, Emek-ke'ziz, | וְהָיוּ הֶעָרִים לְמַטֵּה בְּנֵי בִנְיָמִן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹותֵיהֶם יְרִיחֹו וּבֵית־חָגְלָה וְעֵמֶק קְצִיץ׃ |

| 22 | καὶ Βαιθαβαρα καὶ Σαρα καὶ Βησανα |
and Baethabara, and Sara, and Besana, | | Beth-arabah, Zemara'im, Bethel, | וּבֵית הָעֲרָבָה וּצְמָרַיִם וּבֵית־אֵל׃ |

| 23 | καὶ Αιιν καὶ Φαρα καὶ Εφραθα |
and Aeein, and Phara, and Ephratha, | | Avvim, Parah, Ophrah, | וְהָעַוִּים וְהַפָּרָה וְעָפְרָה׃ |
23 |
| 24 | καὶ Καραφα καὶ Κεφιρα καὶ Μονι καὶ Γαβαα, πόλεις δέκα δύο καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν· |
and Carapha, and Cephira, and Moni, and Gabaa, twelve cities and their villages: | | Che'phar-am'moni, Ophni, Geba - twelve cities with their villages: | וּכְפַר [כ= הָעַמֹּנִי] [ק= הָעַמֹּנָה] וְהָעָפְנִי וָגָבַע עָרִים שְׁתֵּים־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן׃ |

| 25 | Γαβαων καὶ Ραμα καὶ Βεηρωθα |
Gabaon, and Rama, and Beerotha; | | Gibeon, Ramah, Be-er'oth, | גִּבְעֹון וְהָרָמָה וּבְאֵרֹות׃ |

| 26 | καὶ Μασσημα καὶ Μιρων καὶ Αμωκη |
and Massema, and Miron, and Amoke; | | Mizpeh, Chephi'rah, Mozah, | וְהַמִּצְפֶּה וְהַכְּפִירָה וְהַמֹּצָה׃ |

| 27 | καὶ Φιρα καὶ Καφαν καὶ Νακαν καὶ Σεληκαν καὶ Θαρεηλα |
and Phira, and Caphan, and Nacan, and Selecan, and Thareela, | | Rekem, Irpeel, Tar'alah, | וְרֶקֶם וְיִרְפְּאֵל וְתַרְאֲלָה׃ |

| 28 | καὶ Ιεβους [αὕτη ἐστὶν Ιερουσαλημ] καὶ πόλεις καὶ Γαβαωθιαριμ, πόλεις τρεῖς καὶ δέκα καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν. αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία υἱῶν Βενιαμιν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν. |
and Jebus (this is Jerusalem); and Gabaoth, Jarim, thirteen cities, and their villages; this [is] the inheritance of the sons of Benjamin according to their families. | | Zela, Ha-eleph, Jebus (that is, Jerusalem), Gib'e-ah and Kir'iath-je'arim - fourteen cities with their villages. This is the inheritance of the tribe of Benjamin according to its families. | וְצֵלַע הָאֶלֶף וְהַיְבוּסִי הִיא יְרוּשָׁלִַם גִּבְעַת קִרְיַת עָרִים אַרְבַּע־עֶשְׂרֵה וְחַצְרֵיהֶן זֹאת נַחֲלַת בְּנֵי־בִנְיָמִן לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם׃ ף |
