12 New English Bible (New Testament) Passage New Testament in Greek (UBS.Ed.26)

12THE NEXT DAY the great body of pilgrims who had come to the festival, hearing that Jesus was on the way to Jerusalem,The Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem Jn.12.12-19 Passover, c.30ce (Jerusalem) | Mt.21.1-11 | Mk.11.1-11 | Lk.19.28-38Τῇ ἐπαύριον ὁ ὀχλος πολὺς ὁ ἐλθὼν εἰς τὴν ἑορτήν, ἀκούσαντες ὅτι ἐρχεται ὁ Ἰησοῦς εἰς Ἱεροσόλυμα,
13took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting, 'Hosanna! Blessings on him who comes in the name of the Lord! God bless the king of Israel!'- Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes Jn.12.13 | Ps.118.25-26 | Zch.9.9ἐλαβον τὰ βαΐα τῶν Φοινίκων καὶ ἐξῆλθον εἰς ὑπάντησιν αὐτῷ, καὶ ἐκραύγαζον,

14Jesus found a donkey and mounted it, in accordance with the text of Scripture:
15'Fear no more, daughter of Zion; see, your king is coming, mounted on an ass's colt.'
16At the time his disciples did not understand this, but after Jesus had been glorified they remembered that this had been written about him, and that this had happened to him.
17The people who were present when he called Lazarus out of the tomb and raised him from the dead told what they had seen and heard.
18That is why the crowd went to meet him; they had is heard of this sign that he had performed.
19The Pharisees said to one another, 'You see you are doing no good at all; why, all the world has gone after him.'
