40 | But the other rebuked him: 'Have you no fear of God? You are under the same sentence as he. | ἀποκριθεὶς δὲ ὁ ἑτερος ἐπιτιμῶν αὐτῷ ἐφη, Οὐδὲ φοβῇ σὺ τὸν θεόν, ὅτι ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ κρίματι εἶ; | |
41 | For us it is plain justice; we are paying the price for our misdeeds; but this man has done nothing wrong.' | καὶ ἡμεῖς μὲν δικαίως, ἀξια γὰρ ὧν ἐπράξαμεν ἀπολαμβάνομεν· οὗτος δὲ οὐδὲν ἀτοπον ἐπραξεν. | |
42 | And he said, 'Jesus, remember me when you come to your throne.' Some witnesses read: come in royal power. | καὶ ἐλεγεν, Ἰησοῦ, μνήσθητί μου ὁταν ἐλθῃς εἰς τὴν βασιλείαν σου. | |
43 | He answered, 'I tell you this: today you shall be with me in Paradise.' | καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ, Ἀμήν σοι λέγω, σήμερον μετ' ἐμοῦ ἐσῃ ἐν τῷ παραδείσῳ. |
