16'Nobody lights a lamp and then covers it with a basin or puts it under the bed. On the contrary, he puts it on a lamp-stand so that those who come in may see the light. The parable about a lamp under a bowl Lk.8.16-18 | Mk.4.21-25Οὐδεὶς δὲ λύχνον ἀψας καλύπτει αὐτὸν σκεύει ἢ ὑποκάτω κλίνης τίθησιν, ἀλλ' ἐπὶ λυχνίας τίθησιν, ἵνα οἱ εἰσπορευόμενοι βλέπωσιν τὸ φῶς.
17For there is nothing hidden that will not become public, nothing under cover that will not be made known and brought into the open.
18'Take care, then, how you listen; for the man who has will be given more, and the man who has not will forfeit even what he thinks he has.'
