2 | Pilate asked him, 'Are you the king of the Jews?' He replied, 'The words are yours.' Or: It is as you say. | | καὶ ἐπηρώτησεν αὐτὸν ὁ Πιλᾶτος, Σὺ εἶ ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων; ὁ δὲ ἀποκριθεὶς αὐτῷ λέγει, Σὺ λέγεις. |

3 | And the chief priests brought many charges against him. | | καὶ κατηγόρουν αὐτοῦ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς πολλά. |

4 | Pilate questioned him again: 'Have you nothing to say in your defence? You see how many charges they are bringing against you.' | | ὁ δὲ Πιλᾶτος πάλιν ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν λέγων, Οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; ἰδε πόσα σου κατηγοροῦσιν. |

5 | But, to Pilate's astonishment, Jesus made no further reply.
| | ὁ δὲ Ἰησοῦς οὐκέτι οὐδὲν ἀπεκρίθη, ὡστε θαυμάζειν τὸν Πιλᾶτον. |
