| 9 | What God has joined together, man must not separate.'
| | ὃ οὖν ὁ θεὸς συνέζευξεν ἄνθρωπος μὴ χωριζέτω. |

| 10 | When they were indoors again the disciples questioned him about this matter; | | Καὶ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν πάλιν οἱ μαθηταὶ περὶ τούτου ἐπηρώτων αὐτόν. |

| 11 | he said to them, 'Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her: | | καὶ λέγει αὐτοῖς, Ὃς ἂν ἀπολύσῃ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ γαμήσῃ ἀλλην μοιχᾶται ἐπ' αὐτήν, |

| 12 | so too, if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery.'
| | καὶ ἐὰν αὐτὴ ἀπολύσασα τὸν ἀνδρα αὐτῆς γαμήσῃ ἀλλον μοιχᾶται. |
