15 | Jesus was followed by Simon Peter and another disciple. 16 | but Peter halted at the door outside. So the other disciple, the High Priest's acquaintance, went out again and spoke to the woman at the door, and brought Peter in. | | ὁ δὲ Πέτρος εἱστήκει πρὸς τῇ θύρᾳ ἐξω. ἐξῆλθεν οὖν ὁ μαθητὴς ὁ ἀλλος ὁ γνωστὸς τοῦ ἀρχιερέως καὶ εἶπεν τῇ θυρωρῷ καὶ εἰσήγαγεν τὸν Πέτρον. |

17 | The maid on duty at the door said to Peter, 'Are you another of this man's disciples?' 'I am not', he said. | | λέγει οὖν τῷ Πέτρῳ ἡ παιδίσκη ἡ θυρωρός, Μὴ καὶ σὺ ἐκ τῶν μαθητῶν εἶ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου τούτοὺ λέγει ἐκεῖνος, Οὐκ εἰμί. |

18 | The servants and the police had made a charcoal fire, because it was cold, and were standing round it warming themselves. And Peter too was standing with them, sharing the warmth.
| | εἱστήκεισαν δὲ οἱ δοῦλοι καὶ οἱ ὑπηρέται ἀνθρακιὰν πεποιηκότες, ὅτι ψῦχος ἦν, καὶ ἐθερμαίνοντο· ἦν δὲ καὶ ὁ Πέτρος μετ' αὐτῶν ἑστὼς καὶ θερμαινόμενος. |
