1Αὗται δὲ αἱ γενέσεις τῶν υἱῶν Νωε, Σημ, Χαμ, Ιαφεθ, καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αὐτοῖς υἱοὶ μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν. Generation - Noah. Gn.10.1-32 | 1Chr.1.5-23These are the generations of the sons of Noah, Shem, Ham, and Japheth; sons were born to them after the flood.וְאֵלֶּה תֹּולְדֹת בְּנֵי־נֹחַ שֵׁם חָם וָיָפֶת וַיִּוָּלְדוּ לָהֶם בָּנִים אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל׃ 1
2Υἱοὶ Ιαφεθ· Γαμερ καὶ Μαγωγ καὶ Μαδαι καὶ Ιωυαν καὶ Ελισα καὶ Θοβελ καὶ Μοσοχ καὶ Θιρας.  The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras.בְּנֵי יֶפֶת גֹּמֶר וּמָגֹוג וּמָדַי וְיָוָן וְתֻבָל וּמֶשֶׁךְ וְתִירָס׃ 2
3καὶ υἱοὶ Γαμερ· Ασχαναζ καὶ Ριφαθ καὶ Θοργαμα.  The sons of Gomer: Ash'kenaz, Riphath, and Togar'mah.וּבְנֵי גֹּמֶר אַשְׁכֲּנַז וְרִיפַת וְתֹגַרְמָה׃ 3
4καὶ υἱοὶ Ιωυαν· Ελισα καὶ Θαρσις, Κίτιοι, Ῥόδιοι.  The sons of Javan: Eli'shah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Do'danim.וּבְנֵי יָוָן אֱלִישָׁה וְתַרְשִׁישׁ כִּתִּים וְדֹדָנִים׃ 4
5ἐκ τούτων ἀφωρίσθησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτῶν, ἕκαστος κατὰ γλῶσσαν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.  From these the coastland peoples spread. These are the sons of Japheth in their lands, each with his own language, by their families, in their nations.מֵאֵלֶּה נִפְרְדוּ אִיֵּי הַגֹּויִם בְּאַרְצֹתָם אִישׁ לִלְשֹׁנֹו לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם בְּגֹויֵהֶם׃ 5
6Υἱοὶ δὲ Χαμ· Χους καὶ Μεσραιμ, Φουδ καὶ Χανααν.  The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, and Canaan.וּבְנֵי חָם כּוּשׁ וּמִצְרַיִם וּפוּט וּכְנָעַן׃ 6
7υἱοὶ δὲ Χους· Σαβα καὶ Ευιλα καὶ Σαβαθα καὶ Ρεγμα καὶ Σαβακαθα. υἱοὶ δὲ Ρεγμα· Σαβα καὶ Δαδαν.  The sons of Cush: Seba, Hav'ilah, Sabtah, Ra'amah, and Sab'teca. The sons of Ra'amah: Sheba and Dedan.וּבְנֵי כוּשׁ סְבָא וַחֲוִילָה וְסַבְתָּה וְרַעְמָה וְסַבְתְּכָא וּבְנֵי רַעְמָה שְׁבָא וּדְדָן׃ 7
8Χους δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Νεβρωδ. οὗτος ἤρξατο εἶναι γίγας ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς·  Cush became the father of Nimrod; he was the first on earth to be a mighty man.וְכוּשׁ יָלַד אֶת־נִמְרֹד הוּא הֵחֵל לִהְיֹות גִּבֹּר בָּאָרֶץ׃ 8
9οὗτος ἦν γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ· διὰ τοῦτο ἐροῦσιν Ὡς Νεβρωδ γίγας κυνηγὸς ἐναντίον κυρίου.  He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, "Like Nimrod a mighty hunter before the LORD."הוּא־הָיָה גִבֹּר־צַיִד לִפְנֵי יְהוָה עַל־כֵּן יֵאָמַר כְּנִמְרֹד גִּבֹּור צַיִד לִפְנֵי יְהוָה׃ 9
10καὶ ἐγένετο ἀρχὴ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ Βαβυλὼν καὶ Ορεχ καὶ Αρχαδ καὶ Χαλαννη ἐν τῇ γῇ Σεννααρ.  The beginning of his kingdom was Ba'bel, Erech, and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.וַתְּהִי רֵאשִׁית מַמְלַכְתֹּו בָּבֶל וְאֶרֶךְ וְאַכַּד וְכַלְנֵה בְּאֶרֶץ שִׁנְעָר׃ 10
11ἐκ τῆς γῆς ἐκείνης ἐξῆλθεν Ασσουρ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν Νινευη καὶ τὴν Ροωβωθ πόλιν καὶ τὴν Χαλαχ  From that land he went into Assyria, and built Nin'eveh, Reho'both-Ir, Calah, andמִן־הָאָרֶץ הַהִוא יָצָא אַשּׁוּר וַיִּבֶן אֶת־נִינְוֵה וְאֶת־רְחֹבֹת עִיר וְאֶת־כָּלַח׃ 11
12καὶ τὴν Δασεμ ἀνὰ μέσον Νινευη καὶ ἀνὰ μέσον Χαλαχ· αὕτη ἡ πόλις ἡ μεγάλη. -  Resen between Nin'eveh and Calah; that is the great city.וְאֶת־רֶסֶן בֵּין נִינְוֵה וּבֵין כָּלַח הִוא הָעִיר הַגְּדֹלָה׃ 12
13καὶ Μεσραιμ ἐγέννησεν τοὺς Λουδιιμ καὶ τοὺς Ενεμετιιμ καὶ τοὺς Λαβιιμ καὶ τοὺς Νεφθαλιιμ  Egypt became the father of Ludim, An'amim, Leha'bim, Naph-tu'him,וּמִצְרַיִם יָלַד אֶת־לוּדִים וְאֶת־עֲנָמִים וְאֶת־לְהָבִים וְאֶת־נַפְתֻּחִים׃ 13
14καὶ τοὺς Πατροσωνιιμ καὶ τοὺς Χασλωνιιμ, ὅθεν ἐξῆλθεν ἐκεῖθεν Φυλιστιιμ, καὶ τοὺς Καφθοριιμ. -  Pathru'sim, Caslu'him (whence came the Philistines), and Caph'torim.וְאֶת־פַּתְרֻסִים וְאֶת־כַּסְלֻחִים אֲשֶׁר יָצְאוּ מִשָּׁם פְּלִשְׁתִּים וְאֶת־כַּפְתֹּרִים׃ ס 14
15Χανααν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σιδῶνα πρωτότοκον καὶ τὸν Χετταῖον  Canaan became the father of Sidon his first-born, and Heth,וּכְנַעַן יָלַד אֶת־צִידֹן בְּכֹרֹו וְאֶת־חֵת׃ 15
16καὶ τὸν Ιεβουσαῖον καὶ τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ τὸν Γεργεσαῖον  and the Jeb'usites, the Amorites, the Gir'gashites,וְאֶת־הַיְבוּסִי וְאֶת־הָאֱמֹרִי וְאֵת הַגִּרְגָּשִׁי׃ 16
17καὶ τὸν Ευαῖον καὶ τὸν Αρουκαῖον καὶ τὸν Ασενναῖον  the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites,וְאֶת־הַחִוִּי וְאֶת־הַעַרְקִי וְאֶת־הַסִּינִי׃ 17
18καὶ τὸν Ἀράδιον καὶ τὸν Σαμαραῖον καὶ τὸν Αμαθι. καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο διεσπάρησαν αἱ φυλαὶ τῶν Χαναναίων,  the Ar'vadites, the Zem'arites, and the Ha'mathites. Afterward the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.וְאֶת־הָאַרְוָדִי וְאֶת־הַצְּמָרִי וְאֶת־הַחֲמָתִי וְאַחַר נָפֹצוּ מִשְׁפְּחֹות הַכְּנַעֲנִי׃ 18
19καὶ ἐγένοντο τὰ ὅρια τῶν Χαναναίων ἀπὸ Σιδῶνος ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Γεραρα καὶ Γάζαν, ἕως ἐλθεῖν Σοδομων καὶ Γομορρας, Αδαμα καὶ Σεβωιμ, ἕως Λασα. -  And the territory of the Canaanites extended from Sidon, in the direction of Gerar, as far as Gaza, and in the direction of Sodom, Gomor'rah, Admah, and Zeboi'im, as far as Lasha.וַיְהִי גְּבוּל הַכְּנַעֲנִי מִצִּידֹן בֹּאֲכָה גְרָרָה עַד־עַזָּה בֹּאֲכָה סְדֹמָה וַעֲמֹרָה וְאַדְמָה וּצְבֹיִם עַד־לָשַׁע׃ 19
20οὗτοι υἱοὶ Χαμ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.  These are the sons of Ham, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.אֵלֶּה בְנֵי־חָם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם בְּגֹויֵהֶם׃ ס 20
21Καὶ τῷ Σημ ἐγενήθη καὶ αὐτῷ, πατρὶ πάντων τῶν υἱῶν Εβερ, ἀδελφῷ Ιαφεθ τοῦ μείζονος.  To Shem also, the father of all the children of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, children were born.וּלְשֵׁם יֻלַּד גַּם־הוּא אֲבִי כָּל־בְּנֵי־עֵבֶר אֲחִי יֶפֶת הַגָּדֹול׃ 21
22υἱοὶ Σημ· Αιλαμ καὶ Ασσουρ καὶ Αρφαξαδ καὶ Λουδ καὶ Αραμ καὶ Καιναν.  The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arpach'shad, Lud, and Aram.בְּנֵי שֵׁם עֵילָם וְאַשּׁוּר וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד וְלוּד וַאֲרָם׃ 22
23καὶ υἱοὶ Αραμ· Ως καὶ Ουλ καὶ Γαθερ καὶ Μοσοχ.  The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.וּבְנֵי אֲרָם עוּץ וְחוּל וְגֶתֶר וָמַשׁ׃ 23
24καὶ Αρφαξαδ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Καιναν, καὶ Καιναν ἐγέννησεν τὸν Σαλα, Σαλα δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Εβερ.  Arpach'shad became the father of Shelah; and Shelah became the father of Eber.וְאַרְפַּכְשַׁד יָלַד אֶת־שָׁלַח וְשֶׁלַח יָלַד אֶת־עֵבֶר׃ 24
25καὶ τῷ Εβερ ἐγενήθησαν δύο υἱοί· ὄνομα τῷ ἑνὶ Φαλεκ, ὅτι ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις αὐτοῦ διεμερίσθη ἡ γῆ, καὶ ὄνομα τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ Ιεκταν.  To Eber were born two sons: the name of the one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided, and his brother's name was Joktan.וּלְעֵבֶר יֻלַּד שְׁנֵי בָנִים שֵׁם הָאֶחָד פֶּלֶג כִּי בְיָמָיו נִפְלְגָה הָאָרֶץ וְשֵׁם אָחִיו יָקְטָן׃ 25
26Ιεκταν δὲ ἐγέννησεν τὸν Ελμωδαδ καὶ τὸν Σαλεφ καὶ Ασαρμωθ καὶ Ιαραχ  Joktan became the father of Almo'dad, Sheleph, Hazarma'veth, Jerah,וְיָקְטָן יָלַד אֶת־אַלְמֹודָד וְאֶת־שָׁלֶף וְאֶת־חֲצַרְמָוֶת וְאֶת־יָרַח׃ 26
27καὶ Οδορρα καὶ Αιζηλ καὶ Δεκλα  Hador'am, Uzal, Diklah,וְאֶת־הֲדֹורָם וְאֶת־אוּזָל וְאֶת־דִּקְלָה׃ 27
28καὶ Αβιμεηλ καὶ Σαβευ  Obal, Abim'a-el, Sheba,וְאֶת־עֹובָל וְאֶת־אֲבִימָאֵל וְאֶת־שְׁבָא׃ 28
29καὶ Ουφιρ καὶ Ευιλα καὶ Ιωβαβ. πάντες οὗτοι υἱοὶ Ιεκταν.  Ophir, Hav'ilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.וְאֶת־אֹופִר וְאֶת־חֲוִילָה וְאֶת־יֹובָב כָּל־אֵלֶּה בְּנֵי יָקְטָן׃ 29
30καὶ ἐγένετο ἡ κατοίκησις αὐτῶν ἀπὸ Μασση ἕως ἐλθεῖν εἰς Σωφηρα, ὄρος ἀνατολῶν.  The territory in which they lived extended from Mesha in the direction of Sephar to the hill country of the east.וַיְהִי מֹושָׁבָם מִמֵּשָׁא בֹּאֲכָה סְפָרָה הַר הַקֶּדֶם׃ 30
31οὗτοι υἱοὶ Σημ ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς αὐτῶν κατὰ γλώσσας αὐτῶν ἐν ταῖς χώραις αὐτῶν καὶ ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν αὐτῶν.  These are the sons of Shem, by their families, their languages, their lands, and their nations.אֵלֶּה בְנֵי־שֵׁם לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָם לִלְשֹׁנֹתָם בְּאַרְצֹתָם לְגֹויֵהֶם׃ 31
32Αὗται αἱ φυλαὶ υἱῶν Νωε κατὰ γενέσεις αὐτῶν κατὰ τὰ ἔθνη αὐτῶν· ἀπὸ τούτων διεσπάρησαν νῆσοι τῶν ἐθνῶν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς μετὰ τὸν κατακλυσμόν.  These are the families of the sons of Noah, according to their genealogies, in their nations; and from these the nations spread abroad on the earth after the flood.אֵלֶּה מִשְׁפְּחֹת בְּנֵי־נֹחַ לְתֹולְדֹתָם בְּגֹויֵהֶם וּמֵאֵלֶּה נִפְרְדוּ הַגֹּויִם בָּאָרֶץ אַחַר הַמַּבּוּל׃ ף 32
