Also Manasses dide not awei Bethsan and Thanael with her townes, and the dwelleris of Endor, and Geblaam and Magedo with her townes; and Cananei bigan to dwelle with hem. |
Manasses also did not destroy Bethsan, and Thanac with their villages, nor the inhabitants of Dor, and Jeblaam, and Mageddo with their villages. And the Chanaanite began to dwell with them. | The Cities where the inhabitants remained. Jdg.1.27-36 |
28 | Postquam autem confortatus est Israël, fecit eos tributarios, et delere noluit. |
Sotheli after that Israel was coumfortid, he made hem tributaries, ethir to paye tribute, and nolde do awey hem. |
But after Israel was grown strong he made them tributaries, and would not destroy them. | |

30 | Zabulon non delevit habitatores Cetron, et Naalol: sed habitavit Chananæus in medio ejus, factusque est ei tributarius. |
Zabulon dide not awey the dwelleris of Cethron, and of Naalon; but Cananei dwellide in the myddis of hym, and was maad tributarie to him. |
Zabulon destroyed not the inhabitants of Cetron, and Naalol: but the Chanaanite dwelt among them, and became their tributaries. | |
31 | Aser quoque non delevit habitatores Accho, et Sidonis, Ahalab, et Achazib, et Helba, et Aphec, et Rohob: |
Also Aser dide not awey the dwelleris of Acho, and of Sidon, of Alab, and of Azazib, and of Alba, and Aphech, and of Aloa, and of Pha, and of Roob; and he dwellide in the myddis of Cananey, |
Aser also destroyed not the inhabitants of Accho, and of Sidon, of Ahalab, and of Achazib, and of Helba, and of Aphec, and of Rohob: | |
32 | habitavitque in medio Chananæi habitatoris illius terræ, nec interfecit eum. |
dwellere of that lond, and killide not hym. |
And he dwelt in the midst of the Chanaanites the inhabitants of that land, and did not slay them. | |
33 | Nephthali quoque non delevit habitatores Bethsames, et Bethanath: et habitavit inter Chananæum habitatorem terræ, fueruntque ei Bethsamitæ et Bethanitæ tributarii. |
Neptalym dide not awei the dwelleris of Bethsames, and of Bethanach; and he dwellide among Cananey, dwellere of the lond; and Bethsamytis and Bethanytis weren tributarie to hym. |
Nephtali also destroyed not the inhabitants of Bethsames, and of Bethanath: and he dwelt in the midst of the Chanaanites the inhabitants of the land, and the Bethsamites and Bethanites were tributaries to him. | |
34 | Arctavitque Amorrhæus filios Dan in monte, nec dedit eis locum ut ad planiora descenderent: |
And Ammorrey helde streit the sones of Dan in the hil, and yaf not place to hem to go doun to pleynere places; |
And the Amorrhite straitened the children of Dan in the mountain, and gave them not place to go down to the plain: | |
35 | habitavitque in monte Hares, quod interpretatur testaceo, in Ajalon et Salebim. Et aggravata est manus domus Joseph, factusque est ei tributarius. |
and he dwellide in the hil of Hares, which is interpretid, Witnessyng, in Hailon, and in Salabym. And the hond of the hows of Joseph was maad heuy, and he was maad tributarie to hym. |
And he dwelt in the mountain Hares, that is, of potsherds, in Aialon and Salebim. And the hand of the house of Joseph was heavy upon him, and he became tributary to him. | |
36 | Fuit autem terminus Amorrhæi ab ascensu Scorpionis, petra, et superiora loca. |
And the terme of Ammorrei was fro the stiyng of Scorpioun, and the stoon, and hiyere places. |
And the border of the Amorrhite was from the ascent of the scorpion, the rock, and the higher places. | |
