22Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, And the Lord spak to Moises, And the Lord spoke to Moses, The crism oil. Ex.30.22-33
23dicens: Sume tibi aromata, primæ myrrhæ et electæ quingentos siclos, et cinnamomi medium, id est, ducentos quinquaginta siclos, calami similiter ducentos quinquaginta, and seide, Take to thee swete smellynge spiceries, of the firste and chosun myrre, fyue hundrid siclis; and of canel the half, that is, twei hundrid and fifti siclis; Saying: Take spices, of principal and chosen myrrh five hundred sicles, and of cinnamon half so much, that is, two hundred and fifty sicles, of calamus in like manner two hundred and fifty.  
24casiæ autem quingentos siclos, in pondere sanctuarii, olei de olivetis mensuram hin: in lijk maner of calamy twei hundrid and fifti siclis; also of casia fyue hundrid siclis, in the weiyte of seyntuarie; oile of olyue trees, the mesure hyn; And of cassia five hundred sicles by the weight of the sanctuary, of oil of olives the measure hin:  
25faciesque unctionis oleum sanctum, unguentum compositum opere unguentarii, and thou schalt make the hooly oile of anoyntyng, an oynement maad bi the werk of a makere of oynement. And thou shalt make the holy oil of unction, an ointment compounded after the art of the perfumer,  
26et unges ex eo tabernaculum testimonii, et arcam testamenti, And thou schal anoynte therof the tabernacle of witnessyng, and the ark of testament, and the boord with hise vessels, And therewith thou shalt anoint the tabernacle of the testimony, and the ark of the testament,  
27mensamque cum vasis suis, et candelabrum, et utensilia ejus, altaria thymiamatis, the candilstike, and the purtenaunces therof, the auteris of encense, And the table with the vessels thereof, the candlestick and furniture thereof, the altars of incense,  
28et holocausti, et universam supellectilem quæ ad cultum eorum pertinet. and of brent sacrifice, and al the purtenaunce, that perteyneth to the ournyng of tho. And of holocaust, and all the furniture that belongeth to the service of them.  
29Sanctificabisque omnia, et erunt Sancta sanctorum; qui tetigerit ea, sanctificabitur. And thou schalt halewe alle thingis, and tho schulen be the hooli of holi thingis; he that schal touche tho, schal be halewid. And thou shalt sanctify all, and they shall be most holy: he that shall touch them shall be sanctified.  
30Aaron et filios ejus unges, sanctificabisque eos, ut sacerdotio fungantur mihi. Thou schalt anoynte Aaron, and hise sones, and thou schalt halewe hem, that thei be set in presthod to me. Thou shalt anoint Aaron and his sons, and shalt sanctify them, that they may do the office of priesthood unto me.  
31Filiis quoque Israël dices: Hoc oleum unctionis sanctum erit mihi in generationes vestras. And thou schalt seie to the sones of Israel, This oile of anoyntyng schal be hooli to me in to youre generaciouns. And thou shalt say to the children of Israel: This oil of unction shall be holy unto me throughout your generations.  
32Caro hominis non ungetur ex eo, et juxta compositionem ejus non facietis aliud, quia sanctificatum est, et sanctum erit vobis. The fleisch of man schal not be anoyntid therof, and bi the makyng therof ye schulen not make another, for it is halewid, and it schal be hooli to you. The flesh of man shall not be anointed therewith, and you shall make none other of the same composition, because it is sanctified, and shall be holy unto you.  
33Homo quicumque tale composuerit, et dederit ex eo alieno, exterminabitur de populo suo. What euer man makith sich oile, and yyueth therof to an alien, he schal be destried fro his puple. What man soever shall compound such, and shall give thereof to a stranger, he shall be cut off from his people.  
34Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen: Sume tibi aromata, stacten et onycha, galbanum boni odoris, et thus lucidissimum; æqualis ponderis erunt omnia: Forsothe the Lord seide to Moises, Take to thee swete smellynge spyceries, stacten, and onyca, galban of good odour, and pureste encense, alle schulen be of euene weiyte. And the Lord said to Moses: Take unto thee spices, stacte, and onycha, galbanum of sweet savour, and the clearest frankincense, all shall be of equal weight. Incense. Ex.30.34-38
35faciesque thymiama compositum opere unguentarii, mistum diligenter, et purum, et sanctificatione dignissimum. And thou schal make encence, maad by werk of oynement makere, meddlid diligentli, and pure, and moost worthi of halewyng. And thou shalt make incense compounded by the work of the perfumer, well tempered together, and pure, and most worthy of sanctification.  
36Cumque in tenuissimum pulverem universa contuderis, pones ex eo coram tabernaculo testimonii, in quo loco apparebo tibi. Sanctum sanctorum erit vobisthymiama. And whanne thou hast powned alle thingis in to smalleste poudre, thou schalt putte therof bifor the tabernacle of witnessyng, in which place Y schal appere to thee; encense schal be to you the hooli of hooli thingis. And when thou has beaten all into very small powder, thou shalt set of it before the tabernacle of the testimony, in the place where I will appear to thee. Most holy shall this incense be to you.  
37Talem compositionem non facietis in usus vestros, quia sanctum est Domino. Ye schulen not make siche a makyng in to youre vsis, for it is hooli to the Lord. You shall not make such a composition for your own uses, because it is holy to the Lord.  
38Homo quicumque fecerit simile, ut odore illius perfruatur, peribit de populis suis. What euer man makith a lijk thing, that he vse the odour therof, he schal perische fro his puple. What man soever shall make the like, to enjoy the smell thereof, he shall perish out of his people.
