22Fecitque malum in conspectu Domini, sicut fecerat Manasses pater ejus: et cunctis idolis quæ Manasses fuerat fabricatus, immolavit atque servivit. And he dide yuel in the siyt of the Lord, as Manasses, his fadir, hadde do; and he offride, and seruyde to alle the idols, whiche Manasses hadde maad. And he did evil in the sight of the Lord, as Manasses his father had done: and he sacrificed to all the idols which Manasses his father had made, and served them.
23Et non est reveritus faciem Domini, sicut reveritus est Manasses pater ejus, et multo majora deliquit. And he reuerenside not the face of the Lord, as Manasses, his fadir, reuerenside; and he dide mych gretter trespassis. And he did not humble himself before the Lord, as Manasses his father had humbled himself, but committed far greater sins.
24Cumque conjurassent adversus eum servi sui, interfecerunt eum in domo sua. And whanne his seruauntis hadden swore to gyder ayens hym, thei killiden hym in his hows. And his servants conspired against him, and slew him in his own house.
25Porro reliqua populi multitudo, cæsis iis qui Amon percusserant, constituit regem Josiam filium ejus pro eo. Sotheli the residue multitude of the puple, aftir that thei hadden slayn hem that hadden slayn Amon, ordeyneden Josie, his sone, kyng for hym. But the rest of the multitude of the people slew them that had killed Amen, and made Josias his son king in his stead.
