1Omnis autem populus Juda filium ejus Oziam, annorum sedecim, constituit regem pro Amasia patre suo. Forsothe al the puple of Juda made kyng, Ozie, his sone, of sixtene yeer, for his fader Amasie. And all the people of Juda took his son Ozias, who was sixteen years old, and made him king in the room of Amasias his father. UZZIAH king of Judah. 2Chr.26.1-15 | 2Kgs.14.21-22 | 2Kgs.15.1-7
2Ipse ædificavit Ailath, et restituit eam ditioni Juda, postquam dormivit rex cum patribus suis. He bildide Hailath, and restoride it to the lordschipe of Juda, after that the kyng slepte with hise fadris. He built Ailath, and restored it to the dominion of Juda, after that the king slept with his fathers.  
3Sedecim annorum erat Ozias cum regnare cœpisset, et quinquaginta duobus annis regnavit in Jerusalem: nomen matris ejus Jechelia de Jerusalem. Ozie was of sixtene yeer, whanne he bigan to regne; and he regnede two and fifti yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Hiechelia, of Jerusalem. Ozias was sixteen years old when he began to reign, and he reigned two and fifty years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Jechelia of Jerusalem.  
4Fecitque quod erat rectum in oculis Domini, juxta omnia quæ fecerat Amasias pater ejus. And he dide that, that was riytful in the siyt of the Lord, bi alle thingis whiche Amasie, his fadir, hadde do. And he did that which was right in the eyes of the Lord, according to all that Amasias his father had done.  
5Et exquisivit Dominum in diebus Zachariæ intelligentis et videntis Deum: cumque requireret Dominum, direxit eum in omnibus. And he souyte the Lord in the daies of Zacarie, vndurstondynge and seynge God; and whanne he souyte God, God reulide hym in alle thingis. And he sought the Lord in the days of Zacharias that understood and saw God: and as long as he sought the Lord, he directed him in all things.  
6Denique egressus est, et pugnavit contra Philisthiim, et destruxit murum Geth, et murum Jabniæ, murumque Azoti: ædificavit quoque oppida in Azoto et in Philisthiim. Forsothe he yede out, and fauyt ayens Filisteis, and distriede the wal of Geth, and the wal of Jabyne, and the wal of Azotus; and he bildide stronge places in Azotus and in Filistiym. Moreover he went forth and fought against the Philistines, and broke down the wall of Geth, and the wall of Jabnia, and the wall of Azotus: and he built towns in Azotus, and among the Philistines.  
7Et adjuvit eum Deus contra Philisthiim, et contra Arabes qui habitabant in Gurbaal, et contra Ammonitas. And the Lord helpide hym bothe ayens Filisteis, and ayens Arabeis that dwelliden in Garbahal, and ayenus Amonytis. And God helped him against the Philistines, and against the Arabians, that dwelt in Gurbaal, and against the Ammonites.  
8Appendebantque Ammonitæ munera Oziæ: et divulgatum est nomen ejus usque ad introitum Ægypti propter crebras victorias. Amonytis paieden yiftis to Ozie, and his name was pupplischid til to the entryng of Egipt for ofte victories. And the ammonites gave gifts to Ozias: and his name was spread abroad even to the entrance of Egypt for his frequent victories.  
9Ædificavitque Ozias turres in Jerusalem super portam anguli, et super portam vallis, et reliquas in eodem muri latere, firmavitque eas. And Ozie bildide touris in Jerusalem ouer the yate of the corner, and ouer the yate of the valey, and othere touris in the same side of the wal; and made tho stidefast. And Ozias built towers in Jerusalem over the gate of the corner, and over the gate of the valley, and the rest, in the same side of the wall, and fortified them.  
10Exstruxit etiam turres in solitudine, et effodit cisternas plurimas, eo quod haberet multa pecora tam in campestribus quam in eremi vastitate: vineas quoque habuit et vinitores, in montibus et in Carmelo: erat quippe homo agriculturæ deditus. Also he bildide touris in the wildirnesse, and he diggide ful many cisternes; for he hadde many beestis as wel in the feeldi places as in the wastnesse of deseert. Also he hadde vyneris and tiliers of vynes in the hilles, and in Carmele; for he was a man youun to erthetilthe. And he built towers in the wilderness, and dug many cisterns, for he had much cattle both in the plains, and in the waste of the desert: he had also vineyards and dressers of vines in the mountains, and in Carmel: for he was a man that loved husbandry.  
11Fuit autem exercitus bellatorum ejus, qui procedebant ad prælia sub manu Jehiel scribæ, Maasiæque doctoris, et sub manu Hananiæ, qui erat de ducibus regis. Forsothe the oost of hise werriours, that yeden forth to batels, vndur the hond of Heiel, scribe, and of Masie, techere, and vndur the hond of Ananye that was of the duykis of the kyng; And the army of his fighting men, that went out to war, was under the hand of Jehiel the scribe, and Maasias the doctor, end under the hand of Henanias, who was one of the king's captains.  
12Omnisque numerus principum per familias, virorum fortium duorum millium sexcentorum. and al the noumbre of princes, by her meynees, was of stronge men two thousynde and sixe hundrid. And the whole number of the chiefs by the families of valiant men were two thousand six hundred.  
13Et sub eis universus exercitus trecentorum et septem millium quingentorum, qui erant apti ad bella, et pro rege contra adversarios dimicabant. And vndur hem was al the oost, thre hundrid thousynde and seuen thousynde and fyue hundrid, that weren able to batel, and fouyten for the king ayens aduersaries. And the whole army under them three hundred and seven thousand five hundred: who were fit for war, and fought for the king against the enemy.  
14Præparavit quoque eis Ozias, id est, cuncto exercitui, clypeos, et hastas, et galeas, et loricas, arcusque et fundas ad jaciendos lapides. And Ozie made redi to hem, that is, to al the oost, scheldis, and speris, and basynetis, and haburiouns, and bouwis, and slyngis to caste stonys. And Ozias prepared for them, that is, for the whole army, shields, and spears, and helmets, and coats of mail, and bows, and slings to cast stones.  
15Et fecit in Jerusalem diversi generis machinas, quas in turribus collocavit et in angulis murorum, ut mitterent sagittas, et saxa grandia: egressumque est nomen ejus procul, eo quod auxiliaretur ei Dominus, et corroborasset illum. And he made in Jerusalem engynes of dyuerse kynde, which he settide in touris, and in the corneris of wallis, that tho schulden caste arowis and grete stoonys; and his name yede out fer, for the Lord helpide hym, and hadde maad him strong. And he made in Jerusalem engines of diverse kinds, which he placed in the towers, and in the corners of the walls, to shoot arrows, and great stones: and his name went forth far abroad, for the Lord helped him, and had strengthened him.
