| 10 | Itaque factus est pavor Domini super omnia regna terrarum quæ erant per gyrum Juda, nec audebant bellare contra Josaphat. |
Therfor the drede of the Lord was maad on al the rewmes of londis, that weren bi cumpas of Juda; and tho dursten not fiyte ayens Josaphat. |
And the fear of the Lord came upon all the kingdoms of the lands that were round about Juda, and they durst not make war against Josaphat. | Jehoshephat's greatness. 2Chr.17.10-19 |

But also Filisteis brouyten yiftis to Josaphat, and tol of siluer; and men of Arabie brouyten scheep seuene thousynde, and seuene hundrid of wetheris, and so many buckis of geet. |
The Philistines also brought presents to Josaphat, and tribute in silver, and the Arabians brought him cattle, seven thousand seven hundred rams, and as many he goats. | |

Therfor Josaphat encreesside, and was magnified til in to an hiy; and he bildide in Juda housis at the licnesse of touris, and stronge citees; |
And Josaphat grew, and became exceeding great: and he built in Juda houses like towers, and walled cities. | |

and he made redi many werkis in the citees of Juda. Also men werriouris and stronge men weren in Jerusalem; |
And he prepared many works in the cities of Juda: and he had warriors, and valiant men in Jerusalem. | |

Of whom this is the number of the houses and families of every one: in Juda captains of the army, Ednas the chief, and with him three hundred thousand most valiant men. | |

After this also Amasye, the sone of Zechri, was halewid to the Lord, and with hym weren two hundrid thousynde of stronge men. |
And after him was Amasias the son of Zechri, consecrated to the Lord, and with him were two hundred thousand valiant men. | |
