8Confitemini Domino, et invocate nomen ejus:
notas facite in populis adinventiones ejus.
Knowleche ye to the Lord, and inwardli clepe ye his name;
make ye hise fyndyngis knowun among puplis.
Praise ye the Lord, and call upon his name:
make known his doings among the nations.

9Cantate ei, et psallite ei:
et narrate omnia mirabilia ejus.
Synge ye to hym, and seie ye salm to hym,
and telle ye alle his merueylis.
Sing to him, yea, sing praises to him:
and relate all his wondrous works.
10Laudate nomen sanctum ejus:
lætetur cor quærentium Dominum.
Preise ye his hooli name;
the herte of men sekynge the Lord be glad.
Praise ye his holy name:
let the heart I of them rejoice, that seek the Lord.
11Quærite Dominum, et virtutem ejus:
quærite faciem ejus semper.
Seke ye the Lord and his vertu;
seke ye euere his face.
Seek ye the Lord, and his power:
seek ye his face evermore.
12Recordamini mirabilium ejus quæ fecit:
signorum illius, et judiciorum oris ejus,
Haue ye mynde of hise merueilis whiche he dide;
of hise signes, and of the domes of his mouth.
Remember his wonderful works, which he hath done:
his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.
13semen Israël servi ejus;
filii Jacob electi ejus.
The seed of Israel, his seruaunt, preise thou God;
the sones of Jacob, his chosun, preise ye God.
O ye seed of Israel his servants,
ye children of Jacob his chosen.
14Ipse Dominus Deus noster:
in universa terra judicia ejus.
He is oure Lord God;
hise domes ben in ech lond.
He is the Lord our God:
his judgments are in all the earth.
15Recordamini in sempiternum pacti ejus:
sermonis, quem præcepit in mille generationes,
Haue ye mynde with outen ende of his couenaunt;
of the word whiche he couenauntide in to a thousynde generaciouns.
Remember for ever his covenant: the word,
which he commanded to a thousand generations.
16quem pepigit cum Abraham:
et juramenti illius cum Isaac.
Which word he couenauntide with Abraham;
and of his ooth to Ysaac.
The covenant which he made with Abraham:
and his oath to Isaac.
17Et constituit illud Jacob in præceptum:
et Israël in pactum sempiternum,
And he ordeynede that to Jacob in to a comaundement;
and to Israel in to euerlastynge couenaunt.
And he appointed the same to Jacob for a precept:
and to Israel for an everlasting covenant:
18dicens: Tibi dabo terram Chanaan,
funiculum hæreditatis vestræ,
And seide, To thee Y schal yyue the lond of Canaan;
the part of youre erytage.
Saying: To thee will I give the land of Chanaan:
the lot of your inheritance.
19cum essent pauci numero,
parvi et coloni ejus.
Whanne thei weren fewe in noumbre;
litle, and pilgrims therof.
When they were but a small number:
very few and sojourners in it.
20Et transierunt de gente in gentem,
et de regno ad populum alterum.
And thei passiden fro folk in to the folk;
and fro a rewme to another puple.
And they passed from nation to nation:
and from a kingdom to another people.
21Non dimisit quemquam calumniari eos,
sed increpavit pro eis reges.
He suffride not ony man falseli chalenge hem;
but he blamyde kyngis for hem.
He suffered no man to do them wrong:
and reproved kings for their sake.
22Nolite tangere christos meos:
et in prophetis meis nolite malignari.
Nyle ye touche my cristis;
and nyle ye do wickidli ayens my prophetis.
Touch not my anointed:
and do no evil to my prophets.
23Cantate Domino omnis terra,
annuntiate ex die in diem salutare ejus,
Al erthe, singe ye to the Lord;
telle ye fro dai into dai his helthe.
Sing ye to the Lord, all the earth:
shew forth from day to day his salvation.
24narrate in gentibus gloriam ejus:
in cunctis populis mirabilia ejus.
Telle ye among hethen men his glorie;
hise merueylis among alle puplis.
Declare his glory among the Gentiles:
his wonders among all people.
25Quia magnus Dominus, et laudabilis nimis:
et horribilis super omnes deos.
For the Lord is greet, and worthi to be preisid ful myche;
and he is orible, ethir griseful, ouer alle goddis.
For the Lord is great and exceedingly to be praised:
and he is to be feared above all gods.
26Omnes enim dii populorum, idola:
Dominus autem cælos fecit.
For alle the goddis of puplis ben idols;
but the Lord made heuenes.
For all the gods of the nations are idols:
but the Lord made the heavens.
27Confessio et magnificentia coram eo:
fortitudo et gaudium in loco ejus.
Knoulechyng and greet doyng ben bifor hym;
strengthe and ioy ben in the place of hym.
Praise and magnificence are before him:
strength and joy in his place.
28Afferte Domino, familiæ populorum:
afferte Domino gloriam et imperium.
Ye meynees of puplis, bringe ye to the Lord;
brynge ye to the Lord glorie and empire.
Bring ye to the Lord, O ye families of the nations:
bring ye to the Lord glory and empire.
29Date Domino gloriam;
nomini ejus levate sacrificium, et venite in conspectu ejus:
et adorate Dominum in decore sancto.
Yyue ye glorie to his name,
reise ye sacrifice, and come ye in his siyt; and worschipe ye the Lord in hooli fairnesse.
Give to the Lord glory to his name,
bring up sacrifice, and come ye in his sight: and adore the Lord in holy becomingness.
30Commoveatur a facie ejus omnis terra:
ipse enim fundavit orbem immobilem.
Al erthe be mouyd fro his face;
for he foundide the world vnmouable.
Let all the earth be moved at his presence:
for he hath founded the world immoveable.
31Lætentur cæli, et exultet terra;
et dicant in nationibus: Dominus regnavit.
Heuenes be glad, and the erthe ioy fulli;
and seie thei among naciouns, The Lord schal regne.
Let the heavens rejoice, and the earth be glad:
and let them say among the nations: The Lord hath reigned.
32Tonet mare, et plenitudo ejus:
exultent agri, et omnia quæ in eis sunt.
The see thundre, and his fulnesse;
the feeldis fulli ioye, and alle thingis that ben in tho.
Let the sea roar, and the fulness thereof:
let the fields rejoice, and all things that are in them.
33Tunc laudabunt ligna saltus coram Domino:
quia venit judicare terram.
Thanne the trees of the forest schulen preyse bifor the Lord;
for he cometh to deme the erthe.
Then shall the trees of the wood give praise before the Lord:
because he is come to judge the earth.
34Confitemini Domino, quoniam bonus:
quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus.
Knouleche ye to the Lord, for he is good;
for his mersi is withouten ende.
Give ye glory to the Lord, for he is good:
for his mercy endureth for ever.
35Et dicite:
Salva nos, Deus salvator noster:
et congrega nos, et erue de gentibus,
ut confiteamur nomini sancto tuo,
et exultemus in carminibus tuis.
And seie ye,
Thou God oure sauyour,
saue vs, and gadere vs, and delyuere vs fro hethen men;
that we knowleche to thin hooli name,
and be fulli glade in thi songis.
And say ye:
Save us, O God our saviour:
and gather us together, and deliver us from the nations,
that we may give glory to thy holy name,
and may rejoice in singing thy praises.
36Benedictus Dominus Deus Israël,
ab æterno usque in æternum.
Et dicat omnis populo: Amen, et hymnum Domino.
Blessid be the Lord God of Israel
fro with oute bigynnyng and til in to with outen ende;
and al the puple seie, Amen, and seie heriyng to God.
Blessed be the Lord the God of Israel
from eternity to eternity:
and let all the people say Amen, and a hymn to God.
