17Janitores autem: Sellum, et Accub, et Telmon, et Ahimam: et frater eorum Sellum princeps, Sotheli the porteris weren Sellum, and Achub, and Thelmon, and Achyman, and the britheren of hem; Sellum was the prince; And the porters were Sellum, and Accub, and Telmon, and Ahiman: and their brother Sellum was the prince, Census - Temple guard. 1Chr.9.17-27
18usque ad illud tempus, in porta regis ad orientem, observabant per vices suas de filiis Levi. til to that tyme thei kepten bi her whilis in the yate of the kyng at the eest, of the sones of Leuy. Until that time, in the king's gate eastward, the sons of Levi waited by their turns.  
19Sellum vero filius Core filii Abiasaph, filii Core, cum fratribus suis, et domo patris sui, hi sunt Coritæ super opera ministerii, custodes vestibulorum tabernaculi: et familiæ eorum per vices castrorum Domini custodientes introitum. Sellum forsothe, the sone of Chore, sone of Abiasaph, sone of Chore, with hise britheren, and with the hows of his fadir; these ben the sones of Chore on the werkis of the seruyce, keperis of the porchis of the tabernacle, and the meynees of hem kepten bi whilis the entryng of the castelis of the Lord. But Sellum the son of Core, the son of Abiasaph, the son of Core, with his brethren and his father's house, the Corites were over the works of the service, keepers of the gates of the tabernacle: and their families in turns were keepers of the entrance of the camp of the Lord.  
20Phinees autem filius Eleazari, erat dux eorum coram Domino. Forsothe Phynees, the sone of Eleazar, was the duyk of hem bifor the Lord. And Phinees the son of Eleazar, was their prince before the Lord,  
21Porro Zacharias filius Mosollamia, janitor portæ tabernaculi testimonii. Sotheli Zacarie, the sone of Mosollam, was porter of the yate of the tabernacle of witnessyng. And Zacharias the son of Mosollamia, was porter of the gate of the tabernacle of the testimony:  
22Omnes hi electi in ostiarios per portas, ducenti duodecim: et descripti in villis propriis, quos constituerunt David, et Samuel videns, in fide sua Alle these chosun in to porteris bi yatis weren twei hundrid and twelue, and weren discryued in her owne townes, which dekenes Dauid and Samuel, the prophete, ordeyneden in her feith, All these that were chosen to be porters at the gates, were two hundred and twelve: and they mere registered in their proper towns: whom David and Samuel the seer appointed in their trust.  
23tam ipsos, quam filios eorum in ostiis domus Domini, et in tabernaculo vicibus suis. both hem and the sones of hem in the doris of the hows of the Lord, and in the tabernacle of witnessyng, bi her whiles. As well them as their sons, to keep the gates of the house of the Lord, and the tabernacle by their turns.  
24Per quatuor ventos erant ostiarii: id est, ad orientem, et ad occidentem, et ad aquilonem, et ad austrum. Porteris weren bi foure coostis, that is, at the eest, and at the west, and at the north, and at the south. In four quarters were the porters: that is to say, toward the east, and west, and north, and south.  
25Fratres autem eorum in viculis morabantur, et veniebant in sabbatis suis de tempore usque ad tempus. Forsothe her britheren dwelliden in townes, and camen in her sabatis fro tyme til to tyme. And their brethren dwelt in villages, and came upon their sabbath days from time to time.  
26His quatuor Levitis creditus erat omnis numerus janitorum, et erant super exedras, et thesauros domus Domini. Al the noumbre of porteris was bitakun to these foure dekenes, and thei kepten the chaumbris, and the tresours of the hows of the Lord. To these four Levites were committed the whole number of the porters, and they were over the chambers, and treasures, of the house of the Lord.  
27Per gyrum quoque templi Domini morabantur in custodiis suis: ut cum tempus fuisset, ipsi mane aperirent fores. Also thei dwelliden in her kepyngis bi the cumpas of the temple of the Lord, that whanne tyme were, thei schulden opene the yatis eerli. And they abode in their watches round about the temple of the Lord: that when it was time, they might open the gates in the morning.
