18Vigesimum et primum annum ætatis habebat Sedecias cum regnare cœpisset, et undecim annis regnavit in Jerusalem: nomen matris ejus erat Amital filia Jeremiæ de Lobna. Sedechie hadde the oon and twentithe yeer of age, whanne he bigan to regne, and he regnyde eleuene yeer in Jerusalem; the name of his modir was Amychal, douyter of Jeremye of Lobna. Sedecias was one and twenty years old when he began to reign, and he reigned eleven years in Jerusalem: the name of his mother was Amital, the daughter of Jeremias of Lobna. JEDEKIAH king of Judah. 19Et fecit malum coram Domino, juxta omnia quæ fecerat Joakim. And he dide yuel bifor the Lord, bi alle thingis which Joachym hadde do. And he did evil before the Lord, according to all that Joakim had done.  
20Irascebatur enim Dominus contra Jerusalem et contra Judam, donec projiceret eos a facie sua: recessitque Sedecias a rege Babylonis. For the Lord was wrooth ayens Jerusalem, and ayens Juda, til he caste hem awey fro his face; and Sedechie yede awei fro the king of Babiloyne. For the Lord was angry against Jerusalem and against Juda, till he cast them out from his face : and Sedecias revolted from the king of Babylon.  
1Factum est autem anno nono regni ejus, mense decimo, decima die mensis, venit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis, ipse et omnis exercitus ejus, in Jerusalem, et circumdederunt eam: et exstruxerunt in circuitu ejus munitiones. Forsothe it was don in the nynthe yeer of his rewme, in the tenthe moneth, in the tenthe dai of the moneth, Nabugodonosor, kyng of Babiloyne, cam, he, and al his oost, in to Jerusalem; and thei cumpassiden it, and bildiden stronge thingis in the cumpass therof. And it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, the tenth day of the month, that Nabuchodonosor king of Babylon came, he and all his army against Jerusalem: and they surrounded it: end raised works round about it. 2Et clausa est civitas atque vallata usque ad undecimum annum regis Sedeciæ, And the citee was closid, and cumpassid, til to the eleuenthe yeer of king Sedechie, And the city was shut up and besieged till the eleventh year of king Sedecias,  
3nona die mensis: prævaluitque fames in civitate, nec erat panis populo terræ. in the nynthe day of the monethe; and hungur hadde maistrie in the citee, and breed was not to the puple of the lond. The ninth day of the month: and a famine prevailed in the city, and there was no bread for the people of the land.  
4Et interrupta est civitas: et omnes viri bellatores nocte fugerunt per viam portæ quæ est inter duplicem murum ad hortum regis. Porro Chaldæi obsidebant in circuitu civitatem. Fugit itaque Sedecias per viam quæ ducit ad campestria solitudinis. And the citee was brokun, and alle men werriours fledden in the niyt bi the weie of the yate, which is bitwixe the double wal, to the gardyn of the kyng; sotheli Caldeis bisegiden the citee bi cumpas. Therfor Sedechie fledde bi the weie that ledith to the feeldi placis of the wildirnesse; And a breach was made into the city: and all the men of war fled in the night between the two walls by the king's garden, (now the Chaldees besieged the city round about,) and Sedecias fled by the way that leadeth to the plains of the wilderness.  
5Et persecutus est exercitus Chaldæorum regem, comprehenditque eum in planitie Jericho: et omnes bellatores qui erant cum eo, dispersi sunt, et reliquerunt eum. and the oost of Caldeis pursuede the king, and it took him in the pleyn of Jerico; and alle the werriours, that weren with him, weren scaterid, and leften him. And the army of the Chaldees pursued after the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho: and all the warriors that were with him were scattered, and left him:  
6Apprehensum ergo regem duxerunt ad regem Babylonis in Reblatha: qui locutus est cum eo judicium. Therfor thei ledden the king takun to the king of Babiloyne, in to Reblatha, which spak dom with him, that is, with Sedechie. So they took the king, and brought him to the king of Babylon to Reblatha, and he gave judgment upon him.  
7Filios autem Sedeciæ occidit coram eo, et oculos ejus effodit, vinxitque eum catenis, et adduxit in Babylonem. Sotheli he killide the sones of Sedechie bifor him, and puttide out his iyen, and boond him with chaynes, and ledde him in to Babiloyne. And he slew the sons of Sedecias before his face, and he put out his eyes, and bound him with chains, and brought him to Babylon.
