10Dormivit igitur David cum patribus suis, et sepultus est in civitate David. Sotheli Dauid slepte with hise fadris, and was biriede in the citee of Dauid. So David slept with his fathers, and was buried in the city of David. Death of David. 1Kgs.2.10-12
11Dies autem quibus regnavit David super Israël, quadraginta anni sunt: in Hebron regnavit septem annis; in Jerusalem, triginta tribus. Forsothe the daies, in whiche Dauid regnede on Israel, ben fourti yeer; in Ebron he regned seuene yeer, in Jerusalem thre and thretti yeer. And the days that David reigned in Israel, were forty gears: in Hebron he reigned seven years, in Jerusalem thirty-three.  
12Salomon autem sedit super thronum David patris sui, et firmatum est regnum ejus nimis. Forsothe Salomon sat on the trone of Dauid, his fadir, and his rewme was maad stidfast greetli. And Solomon sat upon the throne of his father David, and his kingdom was strengthened exceedingly.  
13Et ingressus est Adonias filius Haggith ad Bethsabee matrem Salomonis. Quæ dixit ei: Pacificusne est ingressus tuus? Qui respondit: Pacificus. And Adonye, sone of Agith, entride to Bersabee, modir of Salomon; and sche seide to hym, Whether thin entryng is pesible? And he answeride, It is pesible. And Adonias the son of Haggith came to Bethsabee the mother of Solomon. And she said to him: Is thy coming peaceable? he answered: Peaceable. Death of Adonijah. 1Kgs.2.13-25
