katapi HOME Ezekiel 36:1-15 - God's blessing on Israel.  Eze.36.1-15

36 1 And do you, man, prophesy to the mountains of Israel and say, Mountains of Israel, hear the words of the LORD. 36 2 These are the words of the Lord GOD: The enemy has said, 'Aha! now the everlasting highlands are ours.' 36 3 Therefore prophesy and say, These are the words of the Lord GOD: You mountains of Israel, all round you men gloated over you and trampled you down when you were seized and occupied by the rest of the nations; your name was bandied about in the common talk of men. 36 4 Therefore, listen to the words of the Lord GOD when he speaks to the mountains and hills, to the streams and valleys, to the desolate palaces and deserted cities, all plundered and despised by the rest of the nations round you. 36 5 These are the words of the Lord GOD: In the fire of my jealousy I have spoken plainly against the rest of the nations, and against Edom above all. For Edom, swollen with triumphant scorn, seized on my land to hold it up to public contempt. 36 6 Therefore prophesy over the soil of Israel and say to the mountains and hills, the streams and valleys, These are the words of the Lord GOD: I have spoken my mind in jealousy and anger because you have had to endure the taunts of all nations. 36 7 Therefore, says the Lord GOD, I have sworn with uplifted hand that the nations round about shall be punished for be punished for: or bear their taunts.

36 8 But you, mountains of Israel, you shall put forth your branches and yield your fruit for my people Israel, for their home-coming is near. 36 9 See now, I am for you, I will turn to you, and you shall be tilled and sown. 36 10 I will plant many men upon you—the whole house of Israel. The cities shall again be inhabited and the palaces rebuilt. 36 11 I will plant many men and beasts upon you; they shall increase and be fruitful. I will make you populous as in days of old and more prosperous than you were at first. Thus you will know that I am the LORD. 36 12 I will make men—my people Israel—tread your paths again. They shall settle in you, and you shall be their possession; but you shall never again rob them of their children.

36 13 These are the words of the Lord GOD: People say that you are a land that devours men and robs your tribes of their children. 36 14 But you shall never devour men any more nor rob your tribes of their children, says the Lord GOD. 36 15 I will never let you hear the taunts of the nations again nor shall you have to endure the reproaches of the peoples. This is the very word of the Lord GOD.
