3 1 These are the generations of Aaron and Moses at the time when Yahweh spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. 3 2 These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abihu, Eleazar, and Ithamar; 3 3 these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he ordained to minister in the priest's office. 3 4 But Nadab and Abihu died before Yahweh when they offered unholy fire before Yahweh in the wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Eleazar and Ithamar served as priests in the lifetime of Aaron their father.
