22 66 WHEN DAY BROKE, the elders of the nation, chief priests, and doctors of the law assembled, and he was brought before their Council. 22 67 'Tell us,' they said, 'are you the Messiah?' 'If I tell you,' he replied, 'you I will not believe me; 22 68 and if I ask questions, you will not answer. 22 69 [ Dn.7.13, Ps.110.1. ] But from now on, the Son of Man will be seated at the right hand of Almighty God.' Literally: of the Power of God. 22 70 'You are the Son of God, then?' they all said, and he replied, 22 71 'It is you who say I am.' Or: You are right, for I am. They said, 'Need we call further witnesses? We have heard it ourselves from his own lips.'
