katapi HOME Luke 10:17-20 - The Return of the Seventy Two  Lk.10.17-20 (Judaea)

10 17 The seventy-two Some witnesses read: seventy. came back jubilant. 'In your name, is Lord,' they said, 'even the devils submit to us.' 10 18 He replied, 'I watched how Satan fell, like lightning, out of the sky. 10 19 And now you see that I have given you the power to tread underfoot snakes and scorpions and all the forces of the enemy, and nothing will ever harm you. Or: and he will have no way at all to harm you. 10 20 Nevertheless, what you should rejoice over is not that the spirits submit to you, but that your names are enrolled in heaven.'
