6 ¹² During this time he went out one day into the hills to pray, and spent the night in prayer to God. 6 ¹³ When day broke he called his disciples to him, and from among them he chose twelve and named them Apostles:
6 ¹⁴ Simon, to whom he gave the name of Peter,
and Andrew his brother,
James and John,
Philip and Bartholomew,
6 ¹⁵ Matthew and Thomas,
James son of Alphaeus,
and Simon who was called the Zealot,
6 ¹⁶ Judas son of James,
and Judas Iscariot who turned traitor.
