katapi HOME Mark 6:7-13 - The mission of the Twelve  Mk.6.7-13 (Capernaum)- Mt.10.5-15, Lk.9.1-6 | NEB Contents | notes

6 7 he summoned the Twelve and sent them out in pairs on a mission. 6 8 He gave them authority over unclean spirits, and instructed them to take nothing for the journey beyond a stick: no bread, no pack, no money in their belts. 6 9 They might wear sandals, but not a second coat. 6 10 'When you are admitted to a house', he added, 'stay there until you leave those parts. 6 11 At any place where they will not receive you or listen to you, shake the dust off your feet as you leave, as a warning to them.' 6 12 So they set out and called publicly for repentance. 6 13 They drove out many devils, and many sick people they anointed with oil and cured.
