katapi HOME Isaiah 63:15 - A prayer for mercy & help.  Is.63.15-64.12

63 15 Look down from heaven and see,
from your holy and glorious habitation.
Where are your zeal and your might?
The yearning of your heart and your compassion
are withheld from me.
63 16 For you are our Father,
though Abraham does not know us
and Israel does not acknowledge us;
You, O Yahweh, are our Father,
our Redeemer from of old is your name.
63 17 O Yahweh, why do you make us err from your ways
and harden our heart, so that we fear you not?
Return for the sake of your servants,
the tribes of your heritage.
63 18 Your holy people possessed your sanctuary a little while;
our adversaries have trodden it down.
63 19 We have become like those
over whom you have never ruled,
like those who are not called by your name.
