katapi HOME Exodus 6:28-7: - Moses and Aaron: God's command.  Ex.6.28-7.7

6 28 On the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in the land of Egypt, 6 29 Yahweh said to Moses, "I am Yahweh; tell Pharaoh king of Egypt all that I say to you." 6 30 But Moses said to Yahweh, "Behold, I am of uncircumcised lips; how then shall Pharaoh listen to me?"

7 1 And Yahweh said to Moses, "See, I make you as God to Pharaoh; and Aaron your brother shall be your prophet. 7 2 You shall speak all that I command you; and Aaron your brother shall tell Pharaoh to let the people of Israel go out of his land. 7 3 But I will harden Pharaoh's heart, and though I multiply my signs and wonders in the land of Egypt, 7 4 Pharaoh will not listen to you; then I will lay my hand upon Egypt and bring forth my hosts, my people the sons of Israel, out of the land of Egypt by great acts of judgment. 7 5 And the Egyptians shall know that I am Yahweh, when I stretch forth my hand upon Egypt and bring out the people of Israel from among them." 7 6 And Moses and Aaron did so; they did as Yahweh commanded them. 7 7 Now Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron eighty-three years old, when they spoke to Pharaoh.
