katapi HOME Psalms 130:1 - Penitential Psalm - From the Depths I Call to Thee O Lord.  Psalm 130(v129)

130 1 Out of the depths I cry to you, O Yahweh!
130 2 Yahweh, hear my voice!
Let your ears be attentive to the voice of my supplications!

130 3 If you, O Yahweh, should mark iniquities,
Yahweh, who could stand?
130 4 But there is forgiveness with you,
that you may be feared.

130 5 I wait for Yahweh, my soul waits,
and in his word I hope;
130 6 my soul waits for Yahweh more than watchmen for the morning,
more than watchmen for the morning.

130 7 O Israel, hope in Yahweh!
For with Yahweh there is steadfast love,
and with him is plenteous redemption.
130 8 And he will redeem Israel
from all his iniquities.
