25 ⁷ Abraham had lived for a hundred and seventy-five years 25 ⁸ when he breathed his last. He died at a good old age, after a very long life, and was gathered to his father's kin. 25 ⁹ His sons, Isaac and Ishmael, buried him in the cave at Machpelah, on the land of Ephron son of Zohar the Hittite, east of Mamre, 25 ¹⁰ the plot which Abraham had bought from the Hittites. There Abraham was buried with his wife Sarah. 25 ¹¹ After the death of Abraham, God blessed his son Isaac, who settled close by Beer-lahai-roi.
