O Lord Make Haste to Help Me.  Psalm 70(v69)

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David, for the memorial offering.

1Be pleased, O God, to deliver me!
O Yahweh, make haste to help me!
2Let them be put to shame and confusion who seek my life!
Let them be turned back and brought to dishonour who desire my hurt!
3Let them be appalled because of their shame who say, "Aha, Aha!"

4May all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you!
May those who love your salvation say evermore, "God is great!"
5But I am poor and needy; hasten to me, O God!
You are my help and my deliverer;
O Yahweh, do not tarry!

The katapi New Standard Bible is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.
