28 Now the rest of the acts of Josi'ah, and all that he did, are they not written in the Book of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?The end of Josiah's reign. 2Kgs.23.28-30 | 2Chr.35.20-36-1וְיֶתֶר דִּבְרֵי יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ וְכָל־אֲשֶׁר עָשָׂה הֲלֹא־הֵם כְּתוּבִים עַל־סֵפֶר דִּבְרֵי הַיָּמִים לְמַלְכֵי יְהוּדָה׃
29 In his days Pharaoh Neco king of Egypt went up to the king of Assyria to the river Euphra'tes. King Josi'ah went to meet him; and Pharaoh Neco slew him at Megid'do, when he saw him. בְּיָמָיו עָלָה פַרְעֹה נְכֹה מֶלֶךְ־מִצְרַיִם עַל־מֶלֶךְ אַשּׁוּר עַל־נְהַר־פְּרָת וַיֵּלֶךְ הַמֶּלֶךְ יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ לִקְרָאתֹו וַיְמִיתֵהוּ בִּמְגִדֹּו כִּרְאֹתֹו אֹתֹו׃
30 And his servants carried him dead in a chariot from Megid'do, and brought him to Jerusalem, and buried him in his own tomb. And the people of the land took Jeho'ahaz the son of Josi'ah, and anointed him, and made him king in his father's stead. וַיַּרְכִּבֻהוּ עֲבָדָיו מֵת מִמְּגִדֹּו וַיְבִאֻהוּ יְרוּשָׁלִַם וַיִּקְבְּרֻהוּ בִּקְבֻרָתֹו וַיִּקַּח עַם־הָאָרֶץ אֶת־יְהֹואָחָז בֶּן־יֹאשִׁיָּהוּ וַיִּמְשְׁחוּ אֹתֹו וַיַּמְלִיכוּ אֹתֹו תַּחַת אָבִיו׃ ף
