20 1WHEN THE DISTURBANCE had ceased, Paul sent for the disciples and, after encouraging them, said good-bye and set out on his journey to Macedonia.Paul's Journey to Macedonia and Greece Ac.20.1-6 (Macedonia)Μετὰ δὲ τὸ παύσασθαι τὸν θόρυβον μεταπεμψάμενος ὁ Παῦλος τοὺς μαθητὰς καὶ παρακαλέσας, ἀσπασάμενος ἐξῆλθεν πορεύεσθαι εἰς Μακεδονίαν.
2He travelled through those parts of the country, often speaking words of encouragement to the Christians there, and so came into Greece. διελθὼν δὲ τὰ μέρη ἐκεῖνα καὶ παρακαλέσας αὐτοὺς λόγῳ πολλῷ ἦλθεν εἰς τὴν Ἑλλάδα,
3When he had spent three months there and was on the point of embarking for Syria, a plot was laid against him by the Jews, so he decided to return by way of Macedonia. ποιήσας τε μῆνας τρεῖς γενομένης ἐπιβουλῆς αὐτῷ ὑπὸ τῶν Ἰουδαίων μέλλοντι ἀνάγεσθαι εἰς τὴν Συρίαν ἐγένετο γνώμης τοῦ ὑποστρέφειν διὰ Μακεδονίας.
4He was accompanied by Sopater son of Pyrrhus, from Beroea, the Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, Gaius the Doberian Some witnesses read: Derbaean and Timothy, and the Asians Tychicus and Trophimus. συνείπετο δὲ αὐτῷ Σώπατρος Πύρρου Βεροιαῖος, Θεσσαλονικέων δὲ Ἀρίσταρχος καὶ Σεκοῦνδος, καὶ Γάϊος Δερβαῖος καὶ Τιμόθεος, Ἀσιανοὶ δὲ Τυχικὸς καὶ Τρόφιμος.
5These went ahead and waited for us at Troas; οὗτοι δὲ προελθόντες ἐμενον ἡμᾶς ἐν Τρῳάδι·
6we ourselves set sail from Philippi after the Passover season, Literally: after the days of Unleavened Bread. and in five days reached them at Troas, where we spent a week.
 ἡμεῖς δὲ ἐξεπλεύσαμεν μετὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τῶν ἀζύμων ἀπὸ Φιλίππων, καὶ ἠλθομεν πρὸς αὐτοὺς εἰς τὴν Τρῳάδα ἀχρι ἡμερῶν πέντε, ὁπου διετρίψαμεν ἡμέρας ἑπτά.
