38On leaving the synagogue he went to Simon's house. Simon's mother-in-law was in the grip of a high fever;The Healing of Many People Lk.4.38-41 (Capernaum) | Mt.8.14-17 | Mk.1.29-34Ἀναστὰς δὲ ἀπὸ τῆς συναγωγῆς εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν Σίμωνος. πενθερὰ δὲ τοῦ Σίμωνος ἦν συνεχομένη πυρετῷ μεγάλῳ, καὶ ἠρώτησαν αὐτὸν περὶ αὐτῆς.
39and they asked him to help her. He came and stood over her and rebuked the fever. It left her, and she got up at once and waited on them. καὶ ἐπιστὰς ἐπάνω αὐτῆς ἐπετίμησεν τῷ πυρετῷ, καὶ ἀφῆκεν αὐτήν· παραχρῆμα δὲ ἀναστᾶσα διηκόνει αὐτοῖς.
40At sunset all who had friends suffering from one disease or another brought them to him; and he laid his hands on them one by one and cured them. Δύνοντος δὲ τοῦ ἡλίου ἀπαντες ὁσοι εἶχον ἀσθενοῦντας νόσοις ποικίλαις ἠγαγον αὐτοὺς πρὸς αὐτόν· ὁ δὲ ἑνὶ ἑκάστῳ αὐτῶν τὰς χεῖρας ἐπιτιθεὶς ἐθεράπευεν αὐτούς.
41Devils also came out of many of them, shouting, 'You are the Son of God.' But he rebuked them and forbade them to speak, because they knew that he was the Messiah.
 ἐξήρχετο δὲ καὶ δαιμόνια ἀπὸ πολλῶν, κραυγάζοντα καὶ λέγοντα ὅτι σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱὸς τοῦ θεοῦ. καὶ ἐπιτιμῶν οὐκ εἰα αὐτὰ λαλεῖν, ὅτι ᾐδεισαν τὸν Χριστὸν αὐτὸν εἶναι.
