9It happened at this time that Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was baptized in the Jordan by John. The Baptism of Jesus Mk.1.9-11 | Mt.3.13-17 | Lk.3.21-22Kαὶ ἐγένετο ἐν ἐκείναις ταῖς ἡμέραις ἦλθεν Ἰησοῦς ἀπὸ Ναζαρὲτ τῆς Γαλιλαίας καὶ ἐβαπτίσθη εἰς τὸν Ἰορδάνην ὑπὸ Ἰωάννου.
10At the moment when he came up out of the water, he saw the heavens torn open and the Spirit, like a dove, descending upon him.  καὶ εὐθὺς ἀναβαίνων ἐκ τοῦ ὑδατος εἶδεν σχιζομένους τοὺς οὐρανοὺς καὶ τὸ Πνεῦμα ὡς περιστερὰν καταβαῖνον εἰς αὐτόν·
11And a voice spoke from heaven: 'Thou art my Son, my Beloved; Or: Thou art my only Son. on thee my favour rests.'  καὶ φωνὴ ἐγένετο ἐκ τῶν οὐρανῶν, Σὺ εἶ ὁ υἱός μου ὁ ἀγαπητός, ἐν σοὶ εὐδόκησα.
