38 1He made the altar of whole-offering of acacia-wood, square, five cubits long by five cubits broad and three cubits high. Making the alter of burnt offerings. Ex.38.1-7 | Ex.27.1-8וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־מִזְבַּח הָעֹלָה עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים חָמֵשׁ אַמֹּות אָרְכֹּו וְחָמֵשׁ־אַמֹּות רָחְבֹּו רָבוּעַ וְשָׁלֹשׁ אַמֹּות קֹמָתֹו׃
2Its horns at the four corners were of one piece with it, and he overlaid it with bronze.  וַיַּעַשׂ קַרְנֹתָיו עַל אַרְבַּע פִּנֹּתָיו מִמֶּנּוּ הָיוּ קַרְנֹתָיו וַיְצַף אֹתֹו נְחֹשֶׁת׃
3He made all the vessels for the altar, its pots, shovels, tossing bowls, forks, and firepans, all of bronze.  וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־כָּל־כְּלֵי הַמִּזְבֵּחַ אֶת־הַסִּירֹת וְאֶת־הַיָּעִים וְאֶת־הַמִּזְרָקֹת אֶת־הַמִּזְלָגֹת וְאֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּת כָּל־כֵּלָיו עָשָׂה נְחֹשֶׁת׃
4He made for the altar a grating of bronze network under the ledge, coming half-way up.  וַיַּעַשׂ לַמִּזְבֵּחַ מִכְבָּר מַעֲשֵׂה רֶשֶׁת נְחֹשֶׁת תַּחַת כַּרְכֻּבֹּו מִלְּמַטָּה עַד־חֶצְיֹו׃
5He cast four rings for the four corners of the bronze grating to receive the poles,  וַיִּצֹק אַרְבַּע טַבָּעֹת בְּאַרְבַּע הַקְּצָוֹת לְמִכְבַּר הַנְּחֹשֶׁת בָּתִּים לַבַּדִּים׃
6and he made the poles of acacia-wood and overlaid them with bronze.  וַיַּעַשׂ אֶת־הַבַּדִּים עֲצֵי שִׁטִּים וַיְצַף אֹתָם נְחֹשֶׁת׃
7He inserted the poles in the rings at the sides of the altar to carry it. He left the altar a hollow shell. וַיָּבֵא אֶת־הַבַּדִּים בַּטַּבָּעֹת עַל צַלְעֹת הַמִּזְבֵּחַ לָשֵׂאת אֹתֹו בָּהֶם נְבוּב לֻחֹת עָשָׂה אֹתֹו׃ ס
