| 9 | And Moses wrote this law, and gave it to the priests the sons of Levi, who carried the ark of the covenant of Yahweh, and to all the elders of Israel. | Reading of the Law. Dt.31.9-13 | וַיִּכְתֹּב מֹשֶׁה אֶת־הַתֹּורָה הַזֹּאת וַיִּתְּנָהּ אֶל־הַכֹּהֲנִים בְּנֵי לֵוִי הַנֹּשְׂאִים אֶת־אֲרֹון בְּרִית יְהוָה וְאֶל־כָּל־זִקְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |

| 10 | And Moses commanded them, "At the end of every seven years, at the set time of the year of release, at the feast of booths, | | וַיְצַו מֹשֶׁה אֹותָם לֵאמֹר מִקֵּץ שֶׁבַע שָׁנִים בְּמֹעֵד שְׁנַת הַשְּׁמִטָּה בְּחַג הַסֻּכֹּות׃ |

| 11 | when all Israel comes to appear before Yahweh your God at the place which he will choose, you shall read this law before all Israel in their hearing. | | בְּבֹוא כָל־יִשְׂרָאֵל לֵרָאֹות אֶת־פְּנֵי יְהוָה אֱלֹהֶיךָ בַּמָּקֹום אֲשֶׁר יִבְחָר תִּקְרָא אֶת־הַתֹּורָה הַזֹּאת נֶגֶד כָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵל בְּאָזְנֵיהֶם׃ |

| 12 | Assemble the people, men, women, and little ones, and the sojourner within your towns, that they may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your God, and be careful to do all the words of this law, | | הַקְהֵל אֶת־הָעָם הָאֲנָשִׁים וְהַנָּשִׁים וְהַטַּף וְגֵרְךָ אֲשֶׁר בִּשְׁעָרֶיךָ לְמַעַן יִשְׁמְעוּ וּלְמַעַן יִלְמְדוּ וְיָרְאוּ אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם וְשָׁמְרוּ לַעֲשֹׂות אֶת־כָּל־דִּבְרֵי הַתֹּורָה הַזֹּאת׃ |

| 13 | and that their children, who have not known it, may hear and learn to fear Yahweh your God, as long as you live in the land which you are going over the Jordan to possess." | | וּבְנֵיהֶם אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יָדְעוּ יִשְׁמְעוּ וְלָמְדוּ לְיִרְאָה אֶת־יְהוָה אֱלֹהֵיכֶם כָּל־הַיָּמִים אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם חַיִּים עַל־הָאֲדָמָה אֲשֶׁר אַתֶּם עֹבְרִים אֶת־הַיַּרְדֵּן שָׁמָּה לְרִשְׁתָּהּ׃ ף |
