| 36 | Then Yahweh said to Moses, | The firepans. Nu.16.36-40 | וַיְדַבֵּר יְהוָה אֶל־מֹשֶׁה לֵּאמֹר׃ |

| 37 | "Tell Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest to take up the censers out of the blaze; then scatter the fire far and wide. For they are holy, | | אֱמֹר אֶל־אֶלְעָזָר בֶּן־אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֵן וְיָרֵם אֶת־הַמַּחְתֹּת מִבֵּין הַשְּׂרֵפָה וְאֶת־הָאֵשׁ זְרֵה־הָלְאָה כִּי קָדֵשׁוּ׃ |

| 38 | the censers of these men who have sinned at the cost of their lives; so let them be made into hammered plates as a covering for the altar, for they offered them before Yahweh; therefore they are holy. Thus they shall be a sign to the people of Israel." | | אֵת מַחְתֹּות הַחַטָּאִים הָאֵלֶּה בְּנַפְשֹׁתָם וְעָשׂוּ אֹתָם רִקֻּעֵי פַחִים צִפּוּי לַמִּזְבֵּחַ כִּי־הִקְרִיבֻם לִפְנֵי־יְהוָה וַיִּקְדָּשׁוּ וְיִהְיוּ לְאֹות לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל׃ |

| 39 | So Eleazar the priest took the bronze censers, which those who were burned had offered; and they were hammered out as a covering for the altar, | | וַיִּקַּח אֶלְעָזָר הַכֹּהֵן אֵת מַחְתֹּות הַנְּחֹשֶׁת אֲשֶׁר הִקְרִיבוּ הַשְּׂרֻפִים וַיְרַקְּעוּם צִפּוּי לַמִּזְבֵּחַ׃ |

| 40 | to be a reminder to the people of Israel, so that no one who is not a priest, who is not of the descendants of Aaron, should draw near to burn incense before Yahweh, lest he become as Korah and as his company - as Yahweh said to Eleazar through Moses. | | זִכָּרֹון לִבְנֵי יִשְׂרָאֵל לְמַעַן אֲשֶׁר לֹא־יִקְרַב אִישׁ זָר אֲשֶׁר לֹא מִזֶּרַע אַהֲרֹן הוּא לְהַקְטִיר קְטֹרֶת לִפְנֵי יְהוָה וְלֹא־יִהְיֶה כְקֹרַח וְכַעֲדָתֹו כַּאֲשֶׁר דִּבֶּר יְהוָה בְּיַד־מֹשֶׁה לֹו׃ |
