| 3 1 | These are the generations of Aaron and Moses at the time when the LORD spoke with Moses on Mount Sinai. | Aaron's sons. Nu.3.1-4 | וְאֵלֶּה תֹּולְדֹת אַהֲרֹן וּמֹשֶׁה בְּיֹום דִּבֶּר יְהוָה אֶת־מֹשֶׁה בְּהַר סִינָי׃ |

| 2 | These are the names of the sons of Aaron: Nadab the first-born, and Abi'hu, Elea'zar, and Ith'amar; | | וְאֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות בְּנֵי־אַהֲרֹן הַבְּכֹור נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר׃ |

| 3 | these are the names of the sons of Aaron, the anointed priests, whom he ordained to minister in the priest's office. | | אֵלֶּה שְׁמֹות בְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן הַכֹּהֲנִים הַמְּשֻׁחִים אֲשֶׁר־מִלֵּא יָדָם לְכַהֵן׃ |

| 4 | But Nadab and Abi'hu died before the LORD when they offered unholy fire before the LORD in the wilderness of Sinai; and they had no children. So Elea'zar and Ith'amar served as priests in the lifetime of Aaron their father. | | וַיָּמָת נָדָב וַאֲבִיהוּא לִפְנֵי יְהוָה בְּהַקְרִבָם אֵשׁ זָרָה לִפְנֵי יְהוָה בְּמִדְבַּר סִינַי וּבָנִים לֹא־הָיוּ לָהֶם וַיְכַהֵן אֶלְעָזָר וְאִיתָמָר עַל־פְּנֵי אַהֲרֹן אֲבִיהֶם׃ ף |
