| 20 1 | Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, holding in his hand the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain. | The Thousand Years Re.20.1-6 | Καὶ εἶδον ἀγγελον καταβαίνοντα ἐκ τοῦ οὐρανοῦ, ἐχοντα τὴν κλεῖν τῆς ἀβύσσου καὶ ἀλυσιν μεγάλην ἐπὶ τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ. |

| 2 | And he seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years, | | καὶ ἐκράτησεν τὸν δράκοντα, ὁ ὀφις ὁ ἀρχαῖος, ὁς ἐστιν διάβολος καὶ ὁ Σατανᾶς, καὶ ἐδησεν αὐτὸν χίλια ἐτη, |

| 3 | and threw him into the pit, and shut it and sealed it over him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years were ended. After that he must be loosed for a little while. | | καὶ ἐβαλεν αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν ἀβυσσον καὶ ἐκλεισεν καὶ ἐσφράγισεν ἐπάνω αὐτοῦ ἵνα μὴ πλανήσῃ ἐτι τὰ ἐθνη ἀχρι τελεσθῇ τὰ χίλια ἐτη· μετὰ ταῦτα δεῖ λυθῆναι αὐτὸν μικρ ὸν χρόνον. |
