| 7 1 | After this I saw four angels standing at the four corners of the earth, holding back the four winds of the earth, that no wind might blow on earth or sea or against any tree. | The 144,000 of Israel Sealed Re.7.1-8 | Μετὰ τοῦτο εἶδον τέσσαρας ἀγγέλους ἑστῶτας ἐπὶ τὰς τέσσαρας γωνίας τῆς γῆς, κρατοῦντας τοὺς τέσσαρας ἀνέμους τῆς γῆς, ἵνα μὴ πνέῃ ἀνεμος ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς μήτε ἐπὶ τῆς θαλ άσσης μήτε ἐπὶ πᾶν δένδρον. |
| 2 | Then I saw another angel ascend from the rising of the sun, with the seal of the living God, and he called with a loud voice to the four angels who had been given power to harm earth and sea, | καὶ εἶδον ἀλλον ἀγγελον ἀναβαίνοντα ἀπὸ ἀνατολῆς ἡλίου, ἐχοντα σφραγῖδα θεοῦ ζῶντος, καὶ ἐκραξεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ τοῖς τέσσαρσιν ἀγγέλοις οἷς ἐδόθη αὐτοῖς ἀδικῆσαι τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν, | |
| 3 | saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God upon their foreheads." | λέγων, Μὴ ἀδικήσητε τὴν γῆν μήτε τὴν θάλασσαν μήτε τὰ δένδρα ἀχρι σφραγίσωμεν τοὺς δούλους τοῦ θεοῦ ἡμῶν ἐπὶ τῶν μετώπων αὐτῶν. | |
| 4 | And I heard the number of the sealed, a hundred and forty-four thousand sealed, out of every tribe of the sons of Israel, | καὶ ἠκουσα τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν ἐσφραγισμένων, ἑκατὸν τεσσεράκοντα τέσσαρες χιλιάδες, ἐσφραγισμένοι ἐκ πάσης φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰσραήλ· | |
