| 20 | whenever our hearts condemn us; for God is greater than our hearts, and he knows everything. | | ὁτι ἐὰν καταγινώσκῃ ἡμῶν ἡ καρδία, ὅτι μείζων ἐστὶν ὁ θεὸς τῆς καρδίας ἡμῶν καὶ γινώσκει πάντα. |

| 21 | Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have confidence before God; | | Ἀγαπητοί, ἐὰν ἡ καρδία ἡμῶν μὴ καταγινώσκῃ, παρρησίαν ἐχομεν πρὸς τὸν θεόν, |
