| 2 | But in this the final age he has spoken to us in the Son whom he has made heir to the whole universe, and through whom he created all orders of existence: | | ἐπ' ἐσχάτου τῶν ἡμερῶν τούτων ἐλάλησεν ἡμῖν ἐν υἱῷ, ὃν ἐθηκεν κληρονόμον πάντων, δῖ οὗ καὶ ἐποίησεν τοὺς αἰῶνας· |

When he had brought about the purgation of sins, he took his seat at the right hand of Majesty on high, | | ὃς ὢν ἀπαύγασμα τῆς δόξης καὶ χαρακτὴρ τῆς ὑποστάσεως αὐτοῦ, φέρων τε τὰ πάντα τῷ ῥήματι τῆς δυνάμεως αὐτοῦ, καθαρισμὸν τῶν ἀμαρτιῶν ποιησάμενος ἐκάθισεν ἐν δεξιᾷ τῆς μεγαλωσύνης ἐν ὑψηλοῖς, |

| 4 | raised as far above the angels, as the title he has inherited is superior to theirs.
| | τοσούτῳ κρείττων γενόμενος τῶν ἀγγέλων ὁσῳ διαφορώτερον παρ' αὐτοὺς κεκληρονόμηκεν ὀνομα. |
