21	Tell me, you who desire to be under law, do you not hear the law?	The Allegory of Hagar and Sarah Ga.4.21-5.1	Λέγετέ μοι, οἱ ὑπὸ νόμον θέλοντες εἶναι, τὸν νόμον οὐκ ἀκούετὲ;
22	For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by a slave and one by a free woman.		γέγραπται γὰρ ὅτι Ἀβραὰμ δύο υἱοὺς ἐσχεν, ἑνα ἐκ τῆς παιδίσκης καὶ ἑνα ἐκ τῆς ἐλευθέρας.
23	But the son of the slave was born according to the flesh, the son of the free woman through promise.		ἀλλ' ὁ μὲν ἐκ τῆς παιδίσκης κατὰ σάρκα γεγέννηται, ὁ δὲ ἐκ τῆς ἐλευθέρας δῖ ἐπαγγελίας.
24	Now this is an allegory: these women are two covenants. One is from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; she is Hagar.		ἀτινά ἐστιν ἀλληγορούμενα· αὗται γάρ εἰσιν δύο διαθῆκαι, μία μὲν ἀπὸ ὀρους Σινᾶ, εἰς δουλείαν γεννῶσα, ἡτις ἐστὶν Ἁγάρ.
25	Now Hagar is Mount Sinai in Arabia; she corresponds to the present Jerusalem, for she is in slavery with her children.		τὸ δὲ Ἁγὰρ Σινᾶ ὀρος ἐστὶν ἐν τῇ Ἀραβίᾳ, συστοιχεῖ δὲ τῇ νῦν Ἰερουσαλήμ, δουλεύει γὰρ μετὰ τῶν τέκνων αὐτῆς.
26	But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother.		ἡ δὲ ἀνω Ἰερουσαλὴμ ἐλευθέρα ἐστίν, ἡτις ἐστὶν μήτηρ ἡμῶν·
27	For it is written, "Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear; break forth and shout, you who are not in travail; for the children of the desolate one are many more than the children of her that is married."	- Rejoice, O barren one who does not bear Ga.4.27 \| Is.54.1	γέγραπται γάρ, Εὐφράνθητι, στεῖρα ἡ οὐ τίκτουσα· ῥῆξον καὶ βόησον, ἡ οὐκ ὠδίνουσα· ὅτι πολλὰ τὰ τέκνα τῆς ἐρήμου μᾶλλον ἢ τῆς ἐχούσης τὸν ἄνδρα.
28	Now we, brethren, like Isaac, are children of promise.		ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, κατὰ Ἰσαὰκ ἐπαγγελίας τέκνα ἐστέ.
29	But as at that time he who was born according to the flesh persecuted him who was born according to the Spirit, so it is now.		ἀλλ' ὡσπερ τότε ὁ κατὰ σάρκα γεννηθεὶς ἐδίωκεν τὸν κατὰ Πνεῦμα, οὑτως καὶ νῦν.
30	But what does the scripture say? "Cast out the slave and her son; for the son of the slave shall not inherit with the son of the free woman."	- Cast out the slave and her son Ga.4.30 \| Gn.21.10	ἀλλὰ τί λέγει ἡ γραφή; Ἔκβαλε τὴν παιδίσκην καὶ τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς, οὐ γὰρ μὴ κληρονομήσει ὁ υἱὸς τῆς παιδίσκης μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ τῆς ἐλευθέρας.
31	So, brethren, we are not children of the slave but of the free woman.		διό, ἀδελφοί, οὐκ ἐσμὲν παιδίσκης τέκνα ἀλλὰ τῆς ἐλευθέρας.
5 1	For freedom Christ has set us free; stand fast therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.		τῇ ἐλευθερίᾳ ἡμᾶς Χριστὸς ἠλευθέρωσεν· στήκετε οὖν καὶ μὴ πάλιν ζυγῷ δουλείας ἐνέχεσθε.

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.
