5 katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE Passage New Testament in Greek (UBS.Ed.26)

11Therefore, knowing the fear of the Lord, we persuade men; but what we are is known to God, and I hope it is known also to your conscience.
12We are not commending ourselves to you again but giving you cause to be proud of us, so that you may be able to answer those who pride themselves on a man's position and not on his heart.
13For if we are beside ourselves, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you.
14For the love of Christ controls us, because we are convinced that one has died for all; therefore all have died.
15And he died for all, that those who live might live no longer for themselves but for him who for their sake died and was raised.
16From now on, therefore, we regard no one from a human point of view; even though we once regarded Christ from a human point of view, we regard him thus no longer.
17Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away, behold, the new has come.
18All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; τὰ δὲ πάντα ἐκ τοῦ θεοῦ τοῦ καταλλάξαντος ἡμᾶς ἑαυτῷ διὰ Χριστοῦ καὶ δόντος ἡμῖν τὴν διακονίαν τῆς καταλλαγῆς,
19that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
20So we are ambassadors for Christ, God making his appeal through us. We beseech you on behalf of Christ, be reconciled to God.
21For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
6 1Working together with him, then, we entreat you not to accept the grace of God in vain.
2For he says,

"At the acceptable time I have listened to you,
and helped you on the day of salvation." Behold, now is the acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation.

- At the acceptable time I have listened to you 2Cor.6.2 | Is.49.8λέγει γάρ,

3We put no obstacle in any one's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry,
4but as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities,  ἀλλ' ἐν παντὶ συνίσταντες ἑαυτοὺς ὡς θεοῦ διάκονοι, ἐν ὑπομονῇ πολλῇ, ἐν θλίψεσιν, ἐν ἀνάγκαις, ἐν στενοχωρίαις,
6by purity, knowledge, forbearance, kindness, the Holy Spirit, genuine love,  ἐν ἀγνότητι, ἐν γνώσει, ἐν μακροθυμίᾳ, ἐν χρηστότητι, ἐν πνεύματι ἀγίῳ, ἐν ἀγάπῃ ἀνυποκρίτῳ,
7truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left;  ἐν λόγῳ ἀληθείας, ἐν δυνάμει θεοῦ· διὰ τῶν ὁπλων τῆς δικαιοσύνης τῶν δεξιῶν καὶ ἀριστερῶν,
8in honour and dishonour, in ill repute and good repute. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true;  διὰ δόξης καὶ ἀτιμίας, διὰ δυσφημίας καὶ εὐφημίας· ὡς πλάνοι καὶ ἀληθεῖς,
9as unknown, and yet well known; as dying, and behold we live; as punished, and yet not killed;  ὡς ἀγνοούμενοι καὶ ἐπιγινωσκόμενοι, ὡς ἀποθνῄσκοντες καὶ ἰδοὺ ζῶμεν, ὡς παιδευόμενοι καὶ μὴ θανατούμενοι,
10as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.
11Our mouth is open to you, Corinthians; our heart is wide.
12You are not restricted by us, but you are restricted in your own affections.
13In return - I speak as to children - widen your hearts also.

Notes: This page displays passages from the katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE.
The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.

The katapi New Study Bible reference section displays links to parallel passages, and to direct quotations by New Testament authors to Old Testament passages. Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
