12 1	Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I do not want you to be uninformed.	Spitritual Gifts 1Cor.12.1-11	Περὶ δὲ τῶν πνευματικῶν, ἀδελφοί, οὐ θέλω ὑμᾶς ἀγνοεῖν.
2	You know that when you were heathen, you were led astray to dumb idols, however you may have been moved.		Οἰδατε ὅτι ὅτε ἐθνη ἦτε πρὸς τὰ εἰδωλα τὰ ἀφωνα ὡς ἂν ἠγεσθε ἀπαγόμενοι.
3	Therefore I want you to understand that no one speaking by the Spirit of God ever says "Jesus be cursed!" and no one can say "Jesus is Lord"except by the Holy Spirit.		διὸ γνωρίζω ὑμῖν ὅτι οὐδεὶς ἐν πνεύματι θεοῦ λαλῶν λέγει, Ἀνάθεμα Ἰησοῦς, καὶ οὐδεὶς δύναται εἰπεῖν, Κύριος Ἰησοῦς, εἰ μὴ ἐν πνεύματι ἀγίῳ.
4	Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit;		Διαιρέσεις δὲ χαρισμάτων εἰσίν, τὸ δὲ αὐτὸ πνεῦμα·
5	and there are varieties of service, but the same Lord;		καὶ διαιρέσεις διακονιῶν εἰσιν, καὶ ὁ αὐτὸς κύριος·
6	and there are varieties of working, but it is the same God who inspires them all in everyone.		καὶ διαιρέσεις ἐνεργημάτων εἰσίν, ὁ δὲ αὐτὸς θεός, ὁ ἐνεργῶν τὰ πάντα ἐν πᾶσιν.
7	To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.		ἑκάστῳ δὲ δίδοται ἡ φανέρωσις τοῦ πνεύματος πρὸς τὸ συμφέρον.
8	To one is given through the Spirit the utterance of wisdom, and to another the utterance of knowledge according to the same Spirit,		ᾧ μὲν γὰρ διὰ τοῦ πνεύματος δίδοται λόγος σοφίας, ἀλλῳ δὲ λόγος γνώσεως κατὰ τὸ αὐτὸ πνεῦμα,
9	to another faith by the same Spirit, to another gifts of healing by the one Spirit,		ἑτέρῳ πίστις ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ πνεύματι, ἀλλῳ δὲ χαρίσματα ἰαμάτων ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ πνεύματι,
10	to another the working of miracles, to another prophecy, to another the ability to distinguish between spirits, to another various kinds of tongues, to another the interpretation of tongues.		ἀλλῳ δὲ ἐνεργήματα δυνάμεων, ἀλλῳ δὲ προφητεία, ἀλλῳ δὲ διακρίσεις πνευμάτων, ἑτέρῳ γένη γλωσσῶν, ἀλλῳ δὲ ἑρμηνεία γλωσσῶν·
11	All these are inspired by one and the same Spirit, who apportions to each one individually as he wills.		πάντα δὲ ταῦτα ἐνεργεῖ τὸ ἓν καὶ τὸ αὐτὸ πνεῦμα, διαιροῦν ἰδίᾳ ἑκάστῳ καθὼς βούλεται.

The katapi NEW STUDY BIBLE is a very light revision of the RSV. The changes are: (1) In places where 'the LORD', 'O LORD' occurs in the RSV, (it represents the tetragrammaton - YHWH - which is in the hebrew text), I have used the name 'Yahweh'.
(2) I have removed the quotation marks and hyphens that were used in so many names in the RSV as an aid to correct pronunciation. This now brings it in line with all other English versions, and makes any word-search more accurate.
(3) I have changed all (I hope!) of the RSV archaic language sections to modern.

Quotations of OT passages by NT authors can in most cases be viewed within their context of the OT passage as a whole, with the quoted text displayed, against a subdued background.
