| 16 | For Paul had decided to pass by Ephesus and so avoid having to spend time in the province of Asia; he was eager to be in Jerusalem, if he possibly could, on the day of Pentecost. | | κεκρίκει γὰρ ὁ Παῦλος παραπλεῦσαι τὴν Ἔφεσον, ὁπως μὴ γένηται αὐτῷ χρονοτριβῆσαι ἐν τῇ Ἀσίᾳ, ἐσπευδεν γὰρ εἰ δυνατὸν εἰη αὐτῷ τὴν ἡμέραν τῆς πεντηκοστῆς γενέσθαι εἰ ς Ἱεροσόλυμα. |
